All hospitals are different the total cost of a vaginal delivery is about $10,000, I would contact your hospitals HR dept and they will be able to give you round about prices.

Vaginal no complication delivery is usually aroud 2 or 3,000, epidural I think is about $600 more. C-section runs around $10,000. If it's way out of your price range you may want to ask for some financial assistance, ask in the hospital where you will be delivering they'll most likely help you.

This is how it usually works - the hospital charges for the room and supplies etc.. The doctor's fee covers the fee for the delivery and/or surgery.

If I didn't have insurance it would've been about $27,000! I did have a few complications, but it's still really expensive. Oh and I also live in CA, so that might be a contributing factor as well.

I have heard that it cost 10,000 and that is just for a non-complicted birth. I hope you find better insurance that would be a hard hit to the pocket!

c-sections are in the 1,000 dollar range in Illinois. They charge because you are there.
