This book is a must read for any woman trying to get pregnant. I was devastated and so was my husband after being told by my fertility specialist at age 38 that I had no option but to consider adoption or donor eggs (according to my doctor I was out of eggs and gave me 4% chance of getting pregnant and a 2% chance of carrying a baby to full term). After much research and dozens of hours reading infertility related articles and posts online, I have found this book! I never believed in anything alternative to western medicine and thought all the other stuff like Chinese medicine was a hoax. But I was soon glad to be wrong as I followed step by step guidelines. After one month of trying I became pregnant and had a beautiful healthy boy. Nine months after that I did everything in the book again and after 2 months of trying I got pregnant again and gave birth to another perfect little boy. I would recommend anyone with an open mind to read this book. It just might be the answer to your prayers.

Your mind is mistakenly giving you free license in overindulge but I definitely caution you to slow down ASAP or you'll be one of those people that gains 70 lbs in their pregnancy. And believe me, no matter what the movie stars look like a month after giving birth, it's not that easy to get rid of the baby weight. At 5 weeks your baby can get everything it needs from you eating your normal diet. Calorie intake doesn't need to increase until after your 11th week and even then it's a small to moderate increase.

Pregnant Can T Stop Eating

Yup! I know how you feel. As far as "eating for two" goes, the baby only needs about 300 extra calories a day which is about a glass of milk and toast. Try eating more fiber rich foods to fill you up better. More whole grains and more protein. And split your meals up into 5-6 meals a day. Try not to overdo it!

you're quite lucky then. I struggled to keep any food down at 5 weeks. Your system is storing nutrients which go to your child.
It must be absorbing and burning off quite fast which results in you getting hungry alot.. it could also be related to the type of food you eat which might get digested quite quickly (high gi foods cos it) Try modifying your diet to eat foods that release energy at a slower pace.. e.g. sweet potato (low gi) instead of normal potatoes (hi gi), rye bread.. look up the different foods.. sorry i don't have this info with me atm.

You're feeding a person inside of you. Of course, you should be hungry.
The thing is, part of your brain is telling you "Hey- I'm pregnant! I should be eating for two!"
You should NOT be eating for two.
Pregnant women only need about 300 extra calories a day and, ideally, you should only gain about 40 lbs throughout your pregnancy.
That's not really a lot.
Eat small meals throughout the day- not big, high caloric meals.
You're only going to get hungrier as the weeks go on- trust me!

You need to control your eating asap or you will severely regret it when you have your baby. You should only gain 20 to 30 pounds during your pregnancy depending on your wait before you got pregnant. You still have a long way to go, slow down the eating.

For some thats normal. Try to stick to healthy foods though so you don't end up blowing up. Consider it a blessing. I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I usually have to force myself to eat. I have bad morning sickness and no appetite at all.

Because it takes a lot of energy to grow a baby!
Better to eat lots of small meals than 3 big ones. Eat something every couple of hours and that will also help to prevent morning sickness.
