Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 December 2006

I have two boys already... I know that I cant make it totally happen for sure but I want to at least attempt it. This is my last shot at a girl! So I would love input. Im thinking about taking a couple of months when I stop taking birth control and buying ovulation tests for each month and finding out which day I ovulate or an estimate. So when I want to start trying, I can do it like three days before I ovulate to give me a better chance of the girl sperm making it to the egg. Has anyone tried anything else and it worked?

I started my period on december 16th. On the 18th I removed a tampon and it was clean except for one tiny little drop. Today, the 19th I woke up to a light pink discharge that is only there when I wipe, its not like a regular bleeding. My husband and I aare trying to concieve, I know it is close to impossible for me to be pregnant now that I got my period, so what is this then?? please help me!

Our daughter is currently three months old and we would like to plan a fun family vacation for next summer when she will be just shy of one year old. I haven't been anywhere tropical in years and would love to go somewhere that welcomes toddlers. Has anyone been to a U.S. based vacation spot (Virgin Islands included!) that might work? Any advice on hotels that you've had a good experience with would also be welcomed!

I was wondering if there are any women out there who have suffered from multiple miscarriages and then went on to have a healthy baby. My boyfriend dated this girl Monique when he was in high school, they had been broken up for about 4 months when she called him up one day and said she was about 4 months pregnant and it was his. Then about a month later she said it wasn't so he just continued his life normally and never looked back. Well, about a month ago she wrote a letter to his Mom and asked if she would track him down for her so she could discuss the possibilities of him taking a parternity test. So his Mom sent him the letter and it even had pictures of the little girl in it. So Jesse decided to pay for the parternity test. He ordered a kit and we both met with Monique and the little girl to do the test. He sent it off and should have the results by this Thursday. I am almost sick over it but I am not showing it to him. I am being supportive and I am glad he is doing it cause that would be sad if the little girl didnt know her Dad. How do I handle this if it is his cause everything is going to change between us?

I am 13 weeks and it is busy in there, but moreso in the last 2 days.

This is my second child and with the first up to the day she was born I didn't always know what was her or gas, unless it was a STRONG kick. I have a busy stomach.

How do I know what is baby and what is gas and other stuff?

I had a headache that would not go away last night. I gave in and took a tylenol, but only one I usually take 3. I am 5 weeks pregnant and they say this is one of the most critical times for developement. I tried to lay down in a dark room and everything and it would not go away. Is taking tylenol every once in awhile okay? I wouldn't have taken it but it kept on getting worse as the night went.

ok my friend was due on dec 5 and she has no insurance because she says the state said they make too much money by 20 dollars a month. well the baby has dropped and she was having contractions and thy all of a sudden stopped. the baby moves and everythign but i think she needs to go to like an income based doctor and see if somehow she can get induced but she doesnt listen to me. shes 18 and thinks of course that she knows everything. how do i tell her she needs to get induced for the babys sake. she doesnt listen to anything anyone says unless its her dad saying it. and she thinks that because her husband wants to hang out with his friends once in a while that he doesnt care about the baby HELPPPPPPP!!!!! THANKS

I thought periods were the lining of your womb being thinned back down, so how is it possible to be pregnant and have periods? I know that it is as I've spoken to people who've had periods right up to 7 or 8 months, just wondering if anyone knows and can explain?

What kind of daily routine does everyone have their 6 or 7 month old babies on, if one at all? My son has just recently started satying up later at night and sleeping in later in the day so I'm trying to figure out what kind of routine I should get him into. I tried bathing him at night right before bed, but it wakes him up instead up helping him sleep even though I have the bedtime bath stuff. I also would like to know how much food and when you feed your babies. Basically I'd just like to know your daily schedule for your babies, it is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

my son is 3 3/4 years old and uses my hair as a comforter, he won't sleep without holding, stroking and pulling it. it is driving me around the bend. i've tryed giving him dolls with hair, hairy toys, soft teddy bears, cutting some of my hair off for him, everything. he doesn't do this to any one else and sleeps really well for his nan! i feel bad just stopping him and letting him scream for it as this became his comforter when my husband got cancer. any suggestions?

Hi, tested last night, had very faint line, went to the docs today adn again, very faint line. was told to come back on friday for another test. I am wishing that I was pregnant and seem to have all the symptoms, (miscarried 6 weeks and 2 days ago).

Is this normal? KNow I should have asked my doc these questions but I was so damn worried.
