I am 13 weeks and it is busy in there, but moreso in the last 2 days.

This is my second child and with the first up to the day she was born I didn't always know what was her or gas, unless it was a STRONG kick. I have a busy stomach.

How do I know what is baby and what is gas and other stuff?

Here's a trick... Get a cold drink or some ice, and sit down and relax. Once you're completely relaxed drink your drink or eat your ice, whatever it is you have, and wait. The baby should respond to the cold if it is the baby moving.

until you feel the two you cant really tell the difference.

Gas tends to move, kicks dont. The first movements feel like little butterfly wings flapping inside your uterus. But theyre very hard to distiguish unless you're laying down on your side and feeling for them.

If you've felt a baby kick before you might reconize it again at about 14-15 weeks, maybe. But for those who dont know the difference, it can be closer to 20 weeks before the baby is strong enough to kick you and for you to notice.

Twelve weeks after conception, and you might begin feeling the small flutter of fetal movement.

Your Body

It may feel like butterflies or it may feel like gas. Some mothers may feel fetal movement (quickening), though others may not be able to identify movement until around week 20. Soon, though, you'll be playing footsie with a fetus who insists on poking you in the ribs and dancing the rumba—just when you settle in for a good night's rest.

After you feel it,
wait for some time and see if you fart/pass the wind.
If yes, this MAY be gas or your baby as well.
If no,chances are bright that its your baby!

It can also be judged depending on its location, time of day and no.of times it is felt, etc. However, this depends on many things andd most importantly upon the arrangement of your internal organs. It is not same in every woman and so it is not possible to determine accurately without knowing the arrangement.

It's hard to know at first. You will get one at some point that you just KNOW is baby, and from that point it will be clearer. It's just too hard to tell at first. I found that gas was more bubbly, girgle-y, and baby was more like a tiny kick, a quick poke.
