First things first you have to make sure your covered by insurance. You don't want to have a pre-existing condition, then you'll be paying for everything out of pocket! It doesn't matter if you have irregular periods i did until after i had my first child. If you and your partner are ready then all you can do is try and wait. There's not much to it. Also money is a huge deal when having a baby so making sure you can afford it is very important. Otherwise good luck and have fun...lol.

First off with irregular periods you are more than likely to have irregular ovulation. What you need to do is find out exactly when you ovulate. Either buy a ovulation kit which could be somewhat expensive or go by reading your temperature. With the temperature thing, you must take your temp everyday around the same time everyday document it somewhere so you can keep track. Once you have a months worth locate where it's highest the is your ovulation time. If you want being your cycle isnt regular do 2 months worth. You would be able to see if your ovulation cycle is regular or not. When your temperature is higher that is the best time for you to get pregnant. Have fun.

talk to your dr about it. or just have sex as much as possible. I am also trying to have a baby. I got off birthcontrol about 2 months ago, and been having strange periods too.
