Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 December 2006

I keep having a clear/light green discharge like jelly but with no blood. Also when I get out of bed in the morning for the past week I have been having more discharge with jelly and water.
Also is it normal to wake up with a huge pain in your calf muscle. I was screaming with pain this morning cos of this pain and I could feel a lump on my leg. My boyfriend thought I was going into labour lol!

Richard is my dad's name and we'd really like it to be the middle name for our next boy. We already have a Gavin (oldest) and a Braydon (second oldest).

We're looking for something slightly unique. So far the only ones my husband and I can agree on are -

Landon
Hunter (although doesn't seem to go well with Richard as the middle name)
Tanner (also doesn't seem to go well with Richard)

Something from a book could work, just anything you think would be a great name for a boy.

If my father's sperm had fertilized a different woman's egg instead of my mother's would I still have been born, but looking different due to having the genetics of a different mother, and if a different man had fertilized my mother's egg instead of my current father, would I still be "me" but just looking different because I would have the genes of a different father? So then, if my parents had not had sex together, but instead they had paired off with 2 entirely different people to creat children with, would I then actually be 2 different people instead of the one that I am??

Is there any other way to spell Boaz then Boaz? I'm not planing on using the name or anything but I was just wondering. Can Boaz becspelled like Beauaz? Like you know Beau is pronounced the same way as Bo so woldn't it be ok to spell it like Beauaz?

there is this 5 year old girl named Alexandra with NO siblings, and her mother and step-father hit her like to the point where she has marks on her arms and her mother doesnt give her the love she needs and deserves and she has never met her father [also to go with him is out of the question]. My aunt is her godmother and is in perfect love with her and Alexandra loves her too. and my aunt is thinking of adopting her. but the thing is my aunt has a: 15 year old, 7 year old 3 year old, and a 9 month old and absolutely adores kids, but my question is how is Alexandra gonna react she comes from a house with NO other kids, and where people are constantly yelling and constantly hitting one-another and Alexandra likes the idea, and my aunt doesnt know how to go about this[she just found out a week ago that she is getting abused] also my aunt is a lawyer Please help!!!!!

What would you do if you couldn't have babies and the friend of a friend got pregnant and didn't want it and was asked to keep the baby for you so you could adopt it? Adoption is not an issue for me but bringing this up to my husband may not be so easy. This friend of a friend is also one of his oldest friends and she doesn't want anyone to know she is pregnant and also does not want me to tell my husband who the babies mother is. I am so confused between right and wrong.

My 1 yr. old dd whines all day, no exaggeration. The only thing that keeps her happy is to watch the wiggles. I don't know if it out of frustration or what. All she wants to do is walk. She holds our fingers and we have to walk with her everywhere She has a walker and a seat with wheels(like and exersaucer) that she can walk in but she hates them. I put her at toys where she can stand and she is only happy for a second. My husband and I had to take 10 minute shifts with her because neither of us could take it. If she doesn't get what she wants she has tantrums. I try to ignore her but she works herself up to the point where she pukes. I am hoping when she can walk or crawl she will stop this. I am sure there will be something else to whine about. I can't take it. She is really getting to me. My other dd is trying to entertain her. She is a very challenging baby. Debbie

i am 40 weeks pregnant and my face has been swollen for about 4 days now.....the swelling is only effecting one side of my face...its not that noticable to everyone else but i can feel it cause im only talking out one side of my mouth and i am only able to give half a smile...it doesnt look as bad as it is uncomfortable...i have been to the doctor and she says its not edema or preclempsia...she thinks it will be this way untill i give birth but i really cant deal with not being able to smile....please tell me if you have any suggestions on what i can do to make the swelling go down...and assure me that this does happen to other people and i will be ok!!!

I just found out that I am pregnant. My daughter is used to being the center of attention. I want to say that Mommy and Daddy are going to have a new baby but I don't want her to feel left out once the baby comes. My son is 3 months - 2 weeks old and has been fussy alot these days. When I touch his upper gums he screams. He is 24/7 putting his hands in his month and wakes up with red checks. Could he be teething this early??????

My boyfriend and I had sex and the condom broke. I know for sure that this happened close to if not exactly right between my periods. I was one week late and then had light cramping (mine is usually very severe), and then started what seemed to be a normal period. I'm not sure if I could still be pregnant. Can anyone help me out?

My one month old baby has gas and I am using the gas drops but they don't seem to help much since she spits most of it out. Any ideas of anything I can do to help soothe her? She is burping good and the doctor said not to worry and to keep giving her drops.
