I keep having a clear/light green discharge like jelly but with no blood. Also when I get out of bed in the morning for the past week I have been having more discharge with jelly and water.
Also is it normal to wake up with a huge pain in your calf muscle. I was screaming with pain this morning cos of this pain and I could feel a lump on my leg. My boyfriend thought I was going into labour lol!

The mucous plug or show is jelly like but more usually pinkish or bloodstained. I would not expect a "show" to last for a week and also light green sounds a little odd, if I were you I would get this checked out just to ensure there is no infection present. Do you think there's any possibility your membranes have ruptured (waters have broken) as some people have suggested? Amniotic fluid is watery not jelly-like, but should be clear or pale straw coloured, NOT greenish - if your waters are leaking and stained dark green this could indicate the baby is in distress. I think you should get that checked out just in case, and if you have any symptoms like pain or a fever seek medical advice ASAP!

Cramp in the calf can be quite common, and extremely painful, during late pregnancy. Try not to stretch/point your toes too vigorously when you're waking up in the morning. If it does happen, vigorous massaging of the area to restore circulation used to help me :-)

when my waters broke it was gradual, like when i got out of bed in the morning after lying down or standing after sitting a long time. Had discharge but not green. If your waters have broke then infection can get in.
I had leg cramps and would often wake up screaming and give him a scare!
i would suggest that you go and get checked to be on the safe side - my other half has a wonderful saying -"better had than wished you had"!!
Good luck with pregnancy

My plug was a brownish and pinkish colour. Not sure about light green. Also if for the past week you have been leaking anything you should have already been to the doctor. You could get an infection if you have lost your mucuous plug. I never had huge lumps and pain in my calfs. Cramps I would say are normal but lumps no. You may have a clot or something worse. Please get off the computer and go get checked out at the hospital instead of asking common sense questions here.

iv just had my 2nd baby while i was pregnant on both my children i had similar feelings in my pregnancy the doctors told me the discharge was normal and not to worry about it but if the is just clear water or any blood go straight to the hospital as it more than likely your waters breaking if u are worried though u should get it checked even if its just for Peace of mind, as for the cramps that's a normal part of pregnancy too, u are lucky your only getting them now some women get them all the way through, it just that ur muscles are weaker in pregnancy
good luck hope everything goes well for u

Sounds like your waters may have broken. They can leak slowly and feel more like wetness.

The mucous plug is usually a once off thing - not a continuous process.

You need to get checked out to make sure you're not suffering from a womb infection and that the baby's ok.

The calf muscle cramp could be just that - a cramp; very common in pregnancy. It could also be an early clot - again, the only way to be sure is to go get checked.

Good luck, I hope you and your baby do well.

The cramp is very normal in pregnancy, but I would be a little concerned about the green discharge. It may be a show, but... Are you in the UK? Call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47. They will probably get someone to call you back, but it be someone appropriate, maybe a midwife. You can discuss this with them, and they can advise you if you need to take any further action.

Hope all is well for you, best of luck!

Well I don't think your doctor is an idiot, but I think because your almost 38 weeks(2 wks away from labor) you should start timing your contractions like I did because the baby can come anytime now. When I was pregnant, I started to get pelvic pain right before I went into labor the next day. To be safe, I say you call your doctor if contractions start to get really close.

The plug sounds like "a show"and is the plug thats kept your womb sealed throughout your pregnancy. It probably wont be too many days now until you have your baby.
The pain in your calf sounds like cramp. The lump you felt was Knotted cramped muscle.Does it feel better now.
Achey calf with hot red lump would need checking out by your midwife or Dr-But what you describe sounds more like cramp.
Not long to go now!-Then you've only got he next 18 years to worry about.

Sounds like it may be. But also, at this late in the stage there is going to be lots of stuff coming out of you. Some women loose their mucus plug at 7 months along, and some never loose it. I'd say what you are going through is pretty normal! You are almost there! Have lots of sex and make sure that he c o m e s in you everytime, and that will speed up the process.

I don't remember anything about being pregnant except for the calf cramps. My God! They hurt and my calf woulf ball up like a baseball. My husband was woken up many nights and had to forcefully massage the lump out of my calf muscle.
