One of my friends got out of a bad marriage about a year and a half ago and she is pregnant with her fiance's baby. She just found out that she is having a girl. She is afraid that she's not going to be happy about having a baby girl because she had such a bad experience with her ex-husbands daughter. She's not superficial. She is just nervous about having a girl. I am trying to cheer her up. Can you help me out by naming some good things about having a girl? Thanks in advance. Serious answers only, please.

Hi i am 24 and have 2 gorgouse little girls( 4 and nearly 1), they are the lights of my life!
But latley it has been a battle to do anything with my normally very agreeable 4 year old she goes to pre school 2 half days a week and the pre school say she is a pleasure but as soon as i take her through those gates... she argues, Gets demanding and when she doesn't get what she wants she throws a temper tantrum worse then i have EVER seen. She has total disregard for her father and anything he has too say at all, she no longer uses the manners she lernt to say before she was 2 and was just amazing with it... I am at my witts end and don't know what to do anymore with her it has gotten to the point where i don't want to take her out the door please help i don't want the attitude to be passed onto the baby, the last thing i need is 2 kids out of control... I LOVE my kids but i need help. Thankyou

He already is almost 14 lbs. and has also grown 3 inches since birth. He does not sleep very well at night. The doctor told her he should be sleeping 8 hours without eating. I think he is too young to go all night without being fed at least once, after all he is only 2 months. He told her not to feed him if he wakes up. My children did not begin sleeping better until around 4 months or so. I was wondering what everyone thought about this. It seems to be that doctors all say something different, it can get very confusing.

i know 2 and i think they r appaulling role models/ mothers.
I know this Q will bring many angry responses, but its a burning question i have to ask.
Do their own inadaquacies bring them to a proffession where they can profess to b good role models to children/parents?

My husband's 14 year old daughter wants to go to her 16 year old boyfriend's Christmas work party tomorrow. Her mother has given permission but my husband and I both think that a Christmas party for builders is an inappropriate place for a 14 year old schoolgirl. Are we wrong?

I am a 25 year old wife with a 2 year old child of my own, and years of experience of watching children. I am not working right now, so to supplement my husband's income, I accepted an offer to babysit a 7 year old girl, whom I didn't know either of her parents. I have been watching her for about 2 months now. Her dad drops her off at 6 am, I take her to school and pick her up, then her dad picks her up from my home anywhere from 4-6 pm. My delema is that in the past two months, I have caught her in several fibs. And she has admitted to me that she lies to her father. I dont feel comfortable watching a child that lies. Should I continue to watch this child. I may be the only positive influence she has.

I am only 8 weeks pregnant so I still have time to decide on a baby name but right now I think about what his or her name is going to be. I had considered naming our child Saniya if it was a girl. I have no clue as to what I would name our child if we had a boy. I considered Jared as his first name and Jaden for his middle. My fiance doesnt like the name. He wanted to name our child Jayrell. I dont like that name though. Do you have any ideas?

Ok i am in Middle school and i am in 8th grade and the school did a play today and it was about teen pregnancy a 16 year old girl got pregnant and the 18 year old boy who was the father suggested abortion. The play ended with the abortion. Is that right to show it to 6th,7th, and 8th grade kids without the parent consent. I mean it might be against people beleifs to hear about that stuff. And the principal is saying that they are in charge and they can do what they want. Are they aloud to do that?

I've been on a perfect menstration schedule since I was twelve years old. Around the 20th of every month, I start. I end about five days later. My period was on schedule for October (Started on the 24th, ended on Halloween). However, I've had nothing since. I felt light cramping about two weeks ago (Which is my body's preferred way of letting me know to stock up on tampons) and had slightly cloudy mucus-like discharge, but surprisingly, no bleeding followed.

I don't have any other symptoms, but I still wonder if I might be pregnant.

you may remember me asking about the teddybear and my 13 year old son, thank you all for the reinsurance, i and all of you where right.

anyway, feeling a bit foolish for ever having doubts, i told my dad (sons grand dad) the whole situation. and he went mad! he called my son a "******", which is a rude term for a gay if you dont know. my son wasnt in the room, but still just a bad. he went mad, he called me a terrible parent saying i was too soft and i should of put that bear in the bin when he was 10(desided not to mention my 10 year old still has his bear too)

and after a little rant, he told me he was going to take my son away for a week over the christmas hoildays to man him up. well i was furious and i said no, no way in hell! but he went and told my son anyway they where going to have a trip togther, and this is where the problem is.

my son wants to go - he wont take no for an ansewer and i dont want to tell him his granddad called him a ******

Honestly wrongfully turned in for false prescription drug abuse. Dropped UA, came back clean. I take only what I am prescribed. Since then, they began weekly visits. 3x's a wk, 1 hr each. I NEED legal advise, or simply...NEED to hear your stories. I am not seeking to hear from abusive & neglectful parents, but ones who have CLEARLY BEEN ABUSED BY THE SYSTEM, THOSE WHO HAVE DHS/CPS INVOLVED OR WHO HAVE HAD THIER CHILDREN WRONGLY REMOVED. OR OTHERWISE k

My wife was talking with her best friend and suggested that she would be a surrogate mother for us. What were are wondering what are somethings that we need to know? Costs?(most insurance plans do not cover this) Legal issues? Physical, emotional and mental support? We had never considered looking or having someone be a surrogate for us. Please can someone help us, thanks.
