Honestly wrongfully turned in for false prescription drug abuse. Dropped UA, came back clean. I take only what I am prescribed. Since then, they began weekly visits. 3x's a wk, 1 hr each. I NEED legal advise, or simply...NEED to hear your stories. I am not seeking to hear from abusive & neglectful parents, but ones who have CLEARLY BEEN ABUSED BY THE SYSTEM, THOSE WHO HAVE DHS/CPS INVOLVED OR WHO HAVE HAD THIER CHILDREN WRONGLY REMOVED. OR OTHERWISE k

Would moving out of state be illegal? There are NO charges brought against me, I mean, The initial reason for entering my life did not prove to be true. I want to hear your stories, how long they were in your life, what you must do to get them to leave you alone? I really honestly just think they're doing whatever they can to find something wrong. Reasons to take my children. The statistics show, aka have PROVEN, that kids are at such a higher percentage of being abused and (GOD FORBID)-killed, in the system. Then you have those individuals who take in foster kids just for the check. Then turn around and sexually, physically, or emotionally abuse them. I've been doing alot of
research since this came about- and it's appaulling how they can have this much power.
I need strong advice, and kind words of encouragement. I need to know what I can do to protect my children? The worker has even gone so far as to say that I cannot homeschool my children. In the state I live-YES I CAN!sos

My youngest daughter's ex turned her in to CPS b/c she isn't much of a house keeper. The kids are clean, well fed, well adjusted and thriving but apparently having a messy house is more dangerous to children than being a 'crack ho' or slamming your kids heads into the wall or molesting them. To get CPS off her back, she went to CPS sponsored parenting classes on the weekends for several weeks to learn stuff she already knows since she took all kinds of child development classes in school because she wanted to operate a licensed day care center when she first got out of school. It took about two years before CPS quit harassing her ... and she had character references from the children's teachers, other parents, grandparents, etc saying how CPS had made a mistake playing into the hand of a vendictive ex husband like they did. Sometimes they do make mistakes. I guess that is outweighed by the children they remove from abusive situations.

I know a couple of case workers for CPS. They really do not want to remove children from the home, but when a report is made, they have to investigate as if it is true, until they are convinced the report has no merit. To remove a child from the home costs the state thousands upon thousands of dollars in foster care and medical coverage and food stamps. They will place the child(ren) with family members if at all possible, but they would rather not remove them at all. I work in a middle school, and the requirements for reporting even suspected abuse is quite strict, we can loose our jobs for not reporting even suspected cases. Their bottom line is what is best for the children.

Get a lawyer indeed! I worked with CASA for a few years and if a complaint is cleared and closed they have to stop investigation. However, if repeated complaints are made wether true or not they have to investigate the allegations until they deem that the complaints are lies and nothing more.

Get a lawyer. And I believe you are right that for every child removed from a home, someone gets paid.
