Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 December 2006

Okay.. im 17 yrs old and the first pregnancy test i took was positive and right after that i ahd a positive again... then three weeks later i had a negative around the evening. Its now been five months and me and my boyfriend been sexually active still throughout those five months too. he *** inside me everytime and didnt tell me until now. Then i took a test and it showed up negative but to me it seems that my stomach is very hard and bloating out. i want to kno if i had a miscarriage and got pregnant again or i am still pregnant from the previous time. i dont know because i feel by five months that you should show a positive on a test.

Hi, I've been breast feeding my daughter for 7 months, and as much as I love spending all my time with her, I need a break! I've given her a sipy cup but that as a no go.Other family members have given her the bottle but she just crys!, and she is'nt big on baby food yet.

OK, so i know that everyone is having all these symptoms of pregnancy and wondering if they are actually pregnant. Well, mu hubby and i have been TTC for 2mths and have had sex on my most fertile dates. Im due for my nxt period in 6days. Today i keep getting this full on flutter on the R side of my stomach. It is that full on i thought it was my husbands bass in the car but then relised it wasnt that at all. It comes and goes and I ve never felt anything like this b4.. is this a sympton or am i being silly..??

im 19 years old and my boyfreind and i always have safe sex,i stopped using birth control as i wanted to get the hormone device that is inserted in the arm that lasts 5 years.we still used a condom but i fell pregnant,i also had a miscarriage 4 weeks into the pregnancy.one of close friends who is 23 is having a baby due next week and although i know i am to young to have a child any way the loss still hurt myself and my boyfreind deeply.now i feel very sad and a little jelous when i think of my friend is this normal? it very unlike me and i feel horrible about it.

My friend had a blighted ovum (baby never formed) and she claimed to have pregnancy symptoms until she miscarried.

How can you have pregnnacy sympoms when the baby never produced HCG? I don't get how that could happen.

I have been TTC for two months. I ovulated this past Saturday, 12/9. I have continuously been having slight cramping and twinges since. I also have been having slight cramping in my breast, but they have not been exactly tender. Well, after ovulation, my BBT was 97.8 for about three days, then for the past two days it has went up significantly to 98.4 and to 98.3 this a.m. I had slight dizziness yesterday afternoon. Also, I have been having hot flashes beginning this morning and nausea. I even vomited today at lunch. I was not able to eat but a couple of bites before I became nauseas. Could I be pregnant? Is it too soon to be having symptoms?

I'm so frustrated because sometimes I have a "pooch" and seem to show only when I eat. I find myself intentionally sticking out my belly with my muscles at baby stores and such because no one would believe I'm pregnant otherwise and they'd say something. Milkshakes DONT WORK. I dont eat alot of meat because it makes me queesy these days. I eat more fruits, vegetables, and dairy. I do eat steaks and chicken though at times. What can I do? I take all my prenatal vitamins and the baby seems fine. I have been tested for Fifths disease after an exposure and my levels are slightly elevated. Would this cause me not to be gaining weight? I'm seeing a specialist for high disk pregnancies.

She's 3 going on 13 ... she spit a sprout out because it had a speck of sauce from the pie on it ... i told her it wouldn't kill her and she said she would not eat it (she has no problem with the sprouts, it was the sauce).
Next thing she jumps off her chair and stops in her steps for a little while after i said that leaving the table means the end of dinner. She carries on and leaves the table. The rest of dinner goes in the bin. She comes back 3 minutes later and is rather shocked that this time her dinner IS gone (it's a daily battle).
She didn't get her after dinner treat either and she took that gracefully.
Now it's bedtime and she wants a rice cake and water. The rice cake at bed time is a comfort thing.
Not that i want to take her comfort away but does she deserve a ricecake after being an obstinate rabbit-throwing (soft-toy breed) toddler.
PS. i'm in a -enough is enough - mood and daddy wants to give her the rice cake. What do you think?

Our youngest boys are both bedwetters (8 and 11). I've taken them both to the doctors numerous times and I've been told it is something they will both outgrow. The 8 year old has been wearing youth diapers to bed since he was 6 and for the last year or so our 11 year old has been wearing goodnites pullups. Recently our 11 year old developed a rash, you know where. It was so uncomfortable for him he came to me and told me about it. Kimberly-Clark recently added some kind of odor obsorbing chemical and i'm wondering if that is causing the problem. Anyway, for the time being we've switched him over to his brothers youth diapers. The first night we tried to show him how to put it on himself, but he had a lot of trouble and it ended up leaking and he soaked his pjs and bed. Ever since then at about 7:30 each night I simply call the boys up to their room and take care of business.

hi everyone me and my husband are going to have our first baby febuary due on the 16th.we are going to have a son.I was wondering when can your weight and thickness of your abdomen effect how strong you feel the babies movements.We can feel the baby but i have a am a full figured lady and the movements are lite has antone else felt this that was or is a little over weight?

I am 5 weeks pregnant and I have bad cramps that hit me hard and then leave once I pass gas. This is been going on for about a week on and off during the day and night!

Is this a common thing when you are pregnant? The gas cramps are intense!

What can I do to stop the cramping from gas???

i had the 1 hour test done last month. yesterday my doctor told me it came up to 170, where it should have came to 140. now he wants me to do the 3 hour test.
he told me most of the time the 3 hour will come out negative.. I am hoping it will. he told me if it's still postive, 1. baby could be premature, 2. we could have complications, or 3. baby could grow too big.. has anybody had this test the 2nd time. what procedure is expected? and does it really come out negative the 2nd time (mostly)? i know everybody is different. i'm just a little worried about the results.
