I actually like the name Jamie, almost as much I like the fact that your hubby picks out a name HE really likes instead of just agreeing with whatever you throw out there! My hubby and I BOTH loved the name Carson and my family HATED it, but it was OUR son so WE named him

My daughter has a handful of kids in her class that have "double" first names. It is hard to figure out if they are a boy or girl. She has a Jamie in her class that is a girl, and a Skyler that is a boy. She also has a boy named Kim that was in her class last year and another one named Cavaseea. As long as you both agree on it then that is all that matters.

I actually like the name Jamie, and I know a few Jamies. (guys) One is a well succesful gorgeous man. He is in the air force and doing good in life. I think it is a very good name!! What would you consider the middle name? Maybe do something a little more masculine to please the family??

My brothers name is James, We called him Jamie (i still do) up untill he was about 16 or 17 when HE wanted to be called James, because he felt Jamie was to girly lolol. Anywho, so you might try James and just call him jamie untill he decides he doesnt want to be called jamie anymore. But personally i like the name and thats why i still call my brother jamie. hehehe

I have seen Jamie for a boy and a girl plenty of times. I have also seen it spelled Jaime but that maybe for latinos that pronounce it Himay. James, Jimmy both work for a boy.

My sister's name is Jaime, but for a boy I like it spelled Jamie. I think the spelling has a lot to do with with this name.

I know several male Jamies, of all ages.
But I think it's best as a nickname for James.
It's maybe not so cute on a 40 year old man!

Why not name him James and use Jamie as a nickname? That way he'll have a traditional name, one that will serve him well as an adult.
