I am 5 weeks pregnant and I have bad cramps that hit me hard and then leave once I pass gas. This is been going on for about a week on and off during the day and night!

Is this a common thing when you are pregnant? The gas cramps are intense!

What can I do to stop the cramping from gas???

I get really awful gas when I'm pregnant, too. I found that taking Beano before eating ANYTHING helped prevent some of it. And for those times I still got gas I took those little Gas-X (simethicone) gel capsules - extra strength!

It is entirely normal, and really the only way to stop it is by releaving the gas. Tums might help.

Try a fiber rich diet. That helped me out great!
