I have a 23-month old and a 4 month infant, which i am breastfeeding exclusively and sometimes just getting through the day can be so stressful. i end up taking it out on my toddler. any ideas on a supplement that can help me face stress, and be safe to my breastfed baby?

I've heard of Saint Jhn's Wort... but im not sure if it is safe while breastfeeding.... Ask your doctor.

Good nutrition will help your moods a bit. So would good sleep. I'm sure it's hard to get either of those with two young ones. St. John's wort is just like prscription SSRI antidepressants and can be excreted in breastmilk. I would try other alternatives first. This may be a bit controversial, but have you tried a small glass of wine once in a while, just to relax a bit? Of course, you wouldn't want to drink enough to get tipsy, just a small glass a few times per week. This has helped me. Good luck. I've been there, and it will get better.
