I went to the store with my four kids to make a christmas wish list and check out some prices. I had the infant strapped into the stroller and my toddler, almost 2 was looking at the toys with her brother and sister. The isles were a bit cramped for shoppingcart and stroller alike but we were managing. This lady was pushing a shopping cart in my direction, so trying to be polite I moved my stroller past some boxes that were in the middle of the Isle and off to the side so she would be able to get by, my toddler was right next to me at the time. The lady proceeded to run over her with her shopping cart then she started yelling at me for not watching her and said its my fault that she hit her and she would not apoligize for it. She said I was guilty of neglect and she was going to report me and she didnt have to watch were she was going. So my question is, whos right?

I'm 9 months along now and I still don't feel like I have a "connection" with my unborn son. I felt so close to my 3 year old daughter while I was pregnant with her but I'm not feeling the same way with this pregnancy. It was a planned pregnancy and I am happy/excited but kind of scared because I know it will be a huge change having 2 children now, plus my husband and I have been having some minor marital issues but nothing HUGE. But I dont understand why I wouldn't feel connected to him. I'm hoping this isn't a sign of oncoming post pardum depression. It makes me feel really guilty... Anyone else go through anything like this??

I just wanted someone else's opinion i don't remember anything like this with my 1st pregnancy.

my daughter is five months old and already has 2 teeth and is drooling like crazy. Could it be caused by her drooling? She only has that one red bump and its kinda worrying me.

I posted a question yesterday about this, and I'm wondering if what I am doing is right. Today when I put him down for a nap, he climbed out of his crib. Without making a fuss, I put his mattress on the floor, laid him down and barracaded the door. Of course he didn't stay down, but he did stay in his room and play for hours (he didn't cry or call for me once) --he was exhausted when I initially laid him down, too. He did finally fall asleep on his mattress.
Well, tonight, he wanted nothing to do with his mattress on the floor. I tucked him in--business as usual, but this time he screamed and cried and climbed over the barracaded door (oh my) and came downstairs to find me. So, again, without fuss, I picked him up & took him back to his room, & I put the mattress back into his crib...he was asleep in a matter of minutes. I know in my heart he is not ready for a toddler bed & I'm sure he feels a sense of comfort in his crib, especially at night. *See Additional Details*

I have 2 girls who get along great. 5 and 8 yrs old. There is a neighbor girl-7 who comes over a lot and when the 3 are together the neighbor and my youngest seem to not play with the older one-my younger will do whatever to please the neighbor, and my older wants things her way. They tattle, argue etc- my 2 - and the oldest seems to go off on her own but is upset. What can be done to solve this. We have talked to them and said to play together, and tried to resolve whatever the problem is, but as days go on, it seems to get worse. My older will say she doesn't want to have neighbor as a friend, when I know it isn't true. We need help. Any suggestions???

We were at mcdonalds and i had my 10 month old son in his carseat on the floor. This family next to us had 2 boys, being obnoxious and running around. Their parents didnt bother to tell them to behave. Then the boys got on the dirty floor and started rolling around. One of the boy rolled into my sons carseat and I yelled at him. Was I wrong or do I have every right to defend my baby?

I am taking care of 3 girls. Their parents are away for 22 days. I am staying at their home with my 3 years daughter. Kids goes to school during the week days (8am to 3pm). They have sport to go (basket ball, soccer, gymnastique, skating) Friends are piking them up and diving them back home (I dont have a car). I eat here, they provide the food. I do what a mom do...Cleaning, cooking, laundry, puting the kids in bed. I play with them, bring them to the leisure center, more activities...So I am wondering how much I should get? Also we talked, the parents and I about a fly ticket in exchange...The lady works for air canada so she mentioned that I can have a fly ticket???? But say that the fly ticket is about 1000$ round trip...so I should get more money to do the diference????

I have this friend who is totally blind and she has a 1 year old child. She is a single parent who is constantly yeling at her daughter. Every five minutes she is telling her child how bad she is and all kinds of things! On a good day she plays with her and spends time, but on a bad day she is always yelling at her. My friend chalks it up to the fact that, she is the only one taking care of her daughter and when she does wrong, she disciplines her. Another friend of ours named sean who she talks to also, says that she is verbally abusing her child and wants to call child protection on her before she hurts her daughter. My friend tends to also take her anger out on her child, knows that she nedds to stop, but han't quite gotten there.
Who is right?

I have a 23 month old who doesn't really speak yet...all she does is babble (she babbles whole stories sometimes) and maybe can say like 4 or 5 words. She is advanced in her motor skills..it's just speech that is delayed. I am not sure if she is autistic (in my family and husband's noone is autistic). She is mostly very shy but sometimes she surprises me by smiling and looking at strangers...she seems to understand most of what I am saying...but the thing that worries the most is she sometimes likes to spin around and shake her head and when we tell her to stop she just laughs like its funny and does it even more, also sometimes she hates certain loud noises, i know she has like hypersensitive ears....does anyone else have this problem? is autism hereditary and does my daughter have it?? please help! thanks!
