My daughter did the same thing at that age, don't give up and give the bottle. Try going longer periods between feedings, this is what I tried and then she would actually stay latched on.Also what position are you nursing? My daughter would do this when she wasn't comfortable with the position I had her. Try repositioning too. But definitely if you keep giving the bottle everytime he gets frustrated he will definitely wean himself from the breast. Good luck!

Sounds a lot like nipple confusion/bottle preference to me.

The milk in the bottle flows differently than the milk from the breast. Bottled milk will just drip right into his mouth and he has to work to STOP the flow of milk. Milk from the breast won't come unless he is actively sucking. He is getting used to the quick reward with the bottle and lazy at the breast. He is showing his frustration with not getting a quick reward at the breast.

Stop the bottles if at all possible. If you must offer bottles, make sure you are using a "slow flow" nipple.

If he seems to be frustrated at the start of feedings, try pumping just long enough to get a letdown before you offer the breast. You can also try doing breast compressions while nursing to help keep the milk flowing and fill him up a little quicker with the richer, fatty hindmilk.

Well since it easier to suck from a bottle, He has probably become lazy to suck on your breast. This is the hard part do you give in and just let the manufacturer feed you child for a great price. or do you do what your body does for free. You sound like you've already made up your mind but think about it this way don't give up on your child. Also the only other reason is that at that moment he just might not be hungry.

Baby's will pull a way, the question is is the baby comfortable in your arms? Do you have enough milk? I know my son stoped at a young age. The baby might just be playing It might look that the baby is being violent but really isn't. The baby might just learned a new game for it's self.Just keep trying and after a while if it don't stop just keep on milking your self it will be fine.

My little woman became into born on July twentieth and that i'm solely breastfeeding her. She isn't too undesirable at falling asleep on the same time as nursing, yet some nights i will incredibly get her on there for 5 minutes. one element I do is a diaper replace 0.5 way by using (and many times times i'm going to wipe her face with a moist textile). consistent with how she became into nursing, if it became into an extremely short feed i'm going to place her back on the breast she fell asleep on or i'm going to actual her off on the different breast. I additionally purely offered a infant sling (which I however i will possibly on no account do!) and that's a lifesaver for keeping her close for the duration of the day!mo

You may wish to try nursing him in a quiet place, and try to stick to the same place with each feeding. Keep the lights low and the noise level to a minimum. You might even try some white noise like the radio tuned to static or a fan. Like someone else mentioned, he might have thrush or is teething and is feeling discomfort. If he's teething, Hyland's teething tablets work really well, but thrush has to be treated by prescription. You'll also need to treat your nipples if he's diagnosed as having thrush because it will live on them and pass it right back to your baby. Good luck!

There are a few reasons this can happen, and a couple come to mind.
He may be teething, so it hurts a bit to suck.
He may have a little bit of oral thrush, which also makes sucking painful for bubs.
Also, and this was usually the case when my son did it, he wasn't actually very hungry. I was feeding him out of habit more than need, so he'd just keep pulling away and being a clown.
Hope this helps, hon, and please disregard the filthy answer from the third person who responded to your question. You should report them.

If he is pulling away, there is a reason, either he is not getting milk or his nose is stopped up so he pulls away to get air. Sinus problem? It is not a matter of giving in, there is a problem, it should be identified. I breast feed my baby I understand your desire to breast feed, and of course the bonding, is very important. But I would really pay attention to what is going on with this.

He may be weaning himself. I have heard of babies doing this early (although I don't know how old your son is). And if you started offering him a bottle when he would turn up his nose at the breast he may have just started to prefer a bottle. You may have no choice but to pump and give him bottles. If he is drinking the expressed breast milk in a bottle then I definately wouldn't think it was anything that you are eating.

It sounds like he prefers the bottle. Try it, simple if that is all that it is, which is sounds like.
