just keep breastfeeding as you normally would. A lady at la leche told me that your body produces immunities to the illness that you have, so it helps to protect the baby. If the baby does get sick it will be a lesser version of what you have, but it is okay to continue breastfeeding

Breastfeeding With A Fever

Sore spine?
Did you just recently have your baby and have an epidural? Sore spine PLUS fever makes me wonder if you need to be seen by the doctor?

You are most likely just FINE to continue nursing. Nursing will give your baby antibodies to whatever you have. PLUS, baby was exposed to whatever you have BEFORE you ever had symptoms.

ETA:
Also, MANY medications are perfectly safe to take while breastfeeding. You can take Tylenol right now for that fever. Any meds you need to take can be looked up in Medications and Mother's Milk by Hale. Also, there is a site below.

Oh, youngsters temps run bigger than adults... ninety nine.two is not anything. Now if it is across the 102-103 mark, then he demands to move in. I'm severe. Try and holiday his fever with a groovy tub and .8ml of INFANT tylenol or the motrin you've got. The health care provider must have given you the ones recommendations. Next set at your four month verify up, deliver him tylenol BEFORE you move into the workplace and get his photographs. It will is helping plenty preserving his temp down later that day. Good good fortune hon!!

Actually breatfeeding your baby while you are sick will help prevent aby from getting what you have. I was told to breast feed when I had the flu, my son never got it, everyone else did. See a doctor & sto breastfeeding if you are taking meds that are not safe to breastfeed while taking. Best of Luck

No-breastfeeding even while you are sick can actually help keep your baby from getting what you have.I have already asked my baby's peditrician about this.He said that there are immunities in your milk that will keep baby from getting anything you may have.
