I am 20 weeks pregnant and have gained 11lbs so far. I was about average size (5'6" and 150lbs) prepregnancy. Is this too much?

I am not eating any more than I was before I got pregnant. I eat more often but less when I eat.

they say 25lbs gain for a health pregnancy. so seeing as you are 1/2 way there I think you are doing just fine.

The average amount of weight to gain is 20-35 lbs. So you should be right on schedule. It sounds right to me. I gained 30 with the first and 22 with the second.

Most OBs say the adverage weight gain should be between 20 to 30 pounds, however many women gain 40lbs. So 11 pounds and 20 weeks to go..no you are fine on weight gain.

The ideal weight gain in pregnancy is 35 pounds at the most. Thats really hard to stick to. Many women gain 40, 50 or sometimes more while pregnant. Its just harder to lose after birth. I think your doing fine.

no you are fine. everyone will gain weight differently during pregnancy. MAke sure you communicate with your dr about what is right for you. He will let you know if you are putting on too much though. Best of luck in your pregnany. If it makes you feel any better i am 27 weeks started out at 110 and now weigh 154... this is insane to me but my dr is not concerned.

that is a bit much. you should gain about 25-30 pounds through out your entire pregnancy. what alot of women don't know is that you only need an additional 300 calories for each baby you're carrying (i had twins) that's only like an extra sandwich. so don't go overboard unless you want to be stuck overweight after you give birth.

i was 5'4" 158 when i got pregnant and i gained 50 lbs. some women gain alot of weight and some don't it just depends on your body's metabolism. don't be too harsh on yourself. after the baby is born then you should be able to lose the weight ( it won't be over night but it will happen)

I don't think that's to bad, just remember that the baby will weight just about as much as the placenta. I did a lot of walking with my third, I lost weight, I ate a good healthy diet and walked. My doctor was pleased.
