Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 December 2006

Does anybody know how a 2-6 year old describe her/himself? a 7-11 year old? the child can be any age from 2-6 and 7-11.. can you give an example? its one of my psychology homework. please help! There's not much of those age groups in my apartment complex to ask.. thanks so much i appreciate it!

Went to the dentist Tylenol is not working I'm in really bad pain I took Ibuprofen and it worked. What will happen If I breastfeed my 8 month old son. He just eats in the night no longer than 3 min. What effect will it have on him???

He won't eat, and when he does he just makes himself throw up if he doesn't like it. He doesn't listen at all and argues about almost everything! He was removed from school by his mom because he would scream and cuss at the teacher and just go crazy grabbing other kids stuff and ripping it up and breaking their things. He used to punch me in my stomach(I am 5 1/2 months pregnant), use the bathroom on himself because "he felt like it", etc. until we sent him to live with his mom and she doesn't believe that he knows what he is doing because he is "too young to understand". We get him on the weekends and it is just hell when he comes over. If I open my mouth to talk to his dad, he will stop us interrupt us even though he doesn't want or need anything. I mean, he will throw a fit to make his dad stop talking to me. He runs through stores knocking stuff over. Spanking and time out doesn't work and his dad thinks he's not that bad. We end up fighting all the time when he is with us.

i always get my periods on the same day every month or just one day out if i have been exercising heaps or changes to my life style but i havent been doing anything different and this is my third day without then? when should i start to worry....

I posted for advice on how to treat my wife after her miscarriage. Nothing worked and today she checked into the mental ward. Now, I'm more scared than ever. How long is she going to be there and what can I do to help her now??? I feel so lost and hurt.

If you were going to get a gift certificate to a clothes store for Christmas would you rather get it to Kohl, Bealls, Macys, or Walmart? I'm her mom & I can't pick out clothes for her. If you have any other suggestions please let me know, but please tell me your age there could be a difference in what a 14 year old & 17 year old like.

I just lost my baby at 10 weeks on October 30th of this year and I waited about 4 weeks before having sex again. I think I may b pregnant again and If I am Will it show up on a pregnancy test and not detect my last baby? How long does it take your body to get back to where it should be? I'm scared because I'm showing some signs like Nausea and tender Breast like before but I dont' know if it's my body going back to before I was pregnant. I really need some help. I think that even if I am pregnant that it won't show up because I would only b a week or two. how long should I wait to take a test and if It is positive should I tell family and friends again?

My baby has just turned 2 months on the 27th of Nov. and she is a breastfeed baby. Now I was told that I normally would not get a period for about 6 months and I started bleeding today. Has this ever happen to anyone and if so is it ok or do I need to go see my obgyn?

ok, may sound kinda stupid but i am a first time mom, and she has never had a rash b4, i dont know if it is allergies to the apple sauce she's been eating or if it is diaper rash, she's 6 months old and has been eating baby food for the past 2 months and has been eating rice ceral mixed in with her bottle from about 2 weeks old...b4 you go crazy her doctor has okayed this...but my question is how can i tell if its diaper rash or food allergies, its been there for a bout 3 or 4 days and getting a little bit worse i've been putting balmex on it and nothing is clearing up...and if it is a diaper rash whats the best way to clear it up? Please help lol I don't know what to do or what it is...Thanks in advance lol

I just read that a mother with a 4 year old and a 7 year old breast fed them to survive. I wasn't able to breast feed when my son was born 10 weeks ago. This makes me think that I can begin the process now. Anyone with experience with this or a lactation specialist to help me out?

after having a miscarry i had my normal cycle for 7 days I have yet to recieve my period for the month of November. I did on several occations have intercourse my friend told me you cant get pregnant that is why i did. but here lately i have been having alot of back pain frequent urination, moody and fatigue. i took a test a few days ago it said neg.. could my hcg levels not be high anough to detect yet or the test is true and im not?

is it ok that i use an opk instead of charting temps? the reason i ask is that i work night shift and so i can't effectively chart the bbt considering that my sleeping patterns are different. I had sex using the withdrawal method on the first day of ovulation and 4 days after I got extremely sore breasts and they grew. My period was due tomorrow but I have started today. Could it be implantation bleeding? I have had period like cramps as well. I don't think I'm pregnant but I'd like to be. It is unusual for my breasts to change so much you can see the veins very clearly and they are swollen, but the bleeding is reasonably heavy. Can i do a test if I'm bleeding or should I wait till the bleeding stops?

Has anyone else ever dealt with this?

My 3-year old fights with his imaginary friend all of the time. He claims that his friend is not sharing toys. My son gets so upset that he starts yelling and crying. At first, we told our son to tell his friend to go home if he would not share. Then we tried ignoring the behavior. Now, I am wondering how normal it is for a child to always fight with his imaginary friend. As far as I can tell, the friend never plays nice.

My son's teacher thinks that maybe my son is angry because he has a younger brother (1 year old) and uses his imaginary friend to vent his frustrations. My son never plays with his imaginary friend at school and he gets along fine with his real-life friends.

I asked a question a while back about how long it takes for a baby to settle during day and night when breastfeeding, I just wanted to say that my 4 month old daughter now sleep 6 hours during night then wakes for a feed and then goes another 6 hours. I didnt really have ot change the routine she just did it!! I had a really hard time with her because my birth was a hour long and she had a lot of difficulties because of this, like colic and severe sickness! She has progressed week by week, and after many weeks or nearly giving in with the breast feeding..........finally shes done it!! My little girl is going through the night. SO to all of you breast feeding mums, if you are at your witts end and still want to breast feed and are near enough to giving in........it does get better, i was told it tends to take aroud 4 months for a breastfed baby to settle and it was true for me. Love and support to all XXX

I am 27 years old, thoughts of motherhood brush my mind more frequently as they used to. I am very afriad of being pregnant and all the pain involved.
