already done a lot of research on this, know too much... just wondering what other people know... or think.

i had a rough time with the biggest descision i ever had to make... do i inject my preciouse child with toxins and diseases i know he doesn't currently have? i lost my crystal ball so i had to read. i read a lot. both sides, went back and forth. no way did i shoot him up with hep b in his first 12 hours like they told me to. i don't have it and assumed my newborn wasn't about to use a dirty needle or have sex quite yet. started at 6 months, i nursed so he had antibodies from me, he got the hib shot. i cried i knew what i was doing knew adverse afects (everyone should check out VAERS on the web, scary **** cause its real and modest. he got sick after the dtap, his 2nd shot and a shady one. he had a fever.

vaccination is not immunization. only dead polio is immunization. it's a silly idea to get the chicken pox vaccine, anyone in their right mind should know that, if u get the pox when u r a kid u r immune, get a shot for it, and get the pox when u r grown.. well, u might die from it

oh crap i know too much... polio went down in numbers before the vaccine came out. wild polio does not exsist. i got my son the polio shot because there is a chance of polio coming back in his life. hope i made the right decision on that. but any how vaccines did not cure polio, they may have helped but look up the numbers sometime. we all should know the flu shots are useless. that's last years virus, every year there is a new strain, and i do believe the flu shot is carried in mercury.

I think the benefits outweight the risks, so both my children are current on their shots.

I'm on your side Mamma.
Vaccination IS NOT IMMUNIZATION. Gee, do you ever wonder why the Pharm. companies keep incresing the amount of Boosters needed?....
I would much rather my children contract Measles or Mumps naturally not injected straight into their unsuspecting bloodstreams, be sick for a week, and be IMMUNE 4 LIFE, then take a chance with the human carcinogens and toxins in a vaccine.
God made my babies perfect, no $$$ making pharmecutical company could ever change my mind.
I do however believe that when vaccines were first being introduced that the intentions were to help and not harm. But once the government realized that they were killing more then they were saving, they got scared at loosing millions of dollars and started changing the diagnosis's for certain diseases, like Polio, so the general public wouldn't realize that the vaccines weren't working. At least not working as effectively as they had hoped.
And, just look at the rising epidemics of childhood cancer, diabetes, SIDS.....these occurances were VERY rare before the introduction of vaccines...hmmmmmm
ETA: MY CHILD IS ENROLLED IN PUBLIC SCHOOL AND IS TOTALLY UNVAXED
to the previous poster: how would you feel if your child became a vegetable following the MMR or if they died of SIDS 12hrs after the Dtap shot. You'd wonder why you digintly sat there allowing a nurse to inject "KNOWN HUMAN CARCINOGENS" into your baby!

My son is fully up to date on his shots and I will do the same for every other child I might have. I think that the benefits far outweigh the possibility of risks.
If you don't vaccinate your child, there is a much higher risk than you might think that they will catch some disease that they should be immune to. And sometimes people think that they don't have to give their child shots because everyone else does, but what if you and three other people in your childs kindergarten class all thought that?
The chance of allergic reaction is lower now than it used to be, and newer studies have proven that the study that showed a link between vaccines and autism was not preformed correctly and was wrong.
Glad that people are doing research on it and want to know what is really going on.
Good luck!

I think children should be vaccinated against dangerous disease such as mumps and measles, etc. I would hate to see a major breakout of diseases in our society that could be harmful to the young and old alike. I however, do not believe in giving children flu shots because of the controversy in the preservative used that is suspected to cause autism in young children. I made sure to ask my doctor about this, and he said the flu vaccination is the only type to use the preservative because of parent's concern. I refused the flu shot for both of my children, ages 17 months and 6 months. You seem very knowledgeable on this subject and if you care to enlighten me send me an e-mail, any thoughts are appreciated. I really enjoy the chance to learn knew things about my children's health. Have a nice night.

Life is a chance but if the pro's and con's are weighed and I have a choice of attempting to spare my children from what is already known, I would rather error on the side of caution. With this said I have two grown children and I made the choice to have them vaccinated and God blessed this choice to be best for me. I now have six grandchildren with the oldest being 15 years of age and they have also been vaccinated and no problems have been experienced yet. Pray about the matter and go forward.

I am pro vaccine. My son goes to a special eduaction school 2x per week for speech, there are a few young children that are new US citizens. One of the boys brothers had polio after seeing what he is going through 7 yeras post polio I could never thinl of not giving my children their vaccine, I would rather have 1 child w/ autism than to have polio ramage through my home & have 3 children with the effects for life.

Well your child has to have them to enroll in any school so unless you plan to homeschool then you dont have a choice. And I think the benefits of getting them outweigh the risk. What if you child got hepatitis and you never gave them the vaccination for hepatits B?? How would you feel knowing that you could have prevented this? I think its just best that children get vaccinated.

I did it. My Son was dx'ed with Autism at 19 months, but it was not caused by the vaccine, since he had shown signs since he was 9-10 months old and had not had the MMR that everyone blames for autism. When I have another child I will vaccinate, since the chances of catching a formerly eradicated disease are rising because of immigration of unimmunized people.

Wow! I have done a lot of research on this subject and decided a great big NO WAY! I could tell you hundreds of reasons why but the big one that got me was: reading the pro material said that there was a 2% chance of death and that is way to high for me. My son is very healthy and has never been very ill in his life and my friends son who is the same age has had his vaccines and has been extremely ill several times. Just something to seriously think about. I know who's making all the money from this.

I got shots for each of my kids. Chicken pox shot too. I'd rather them get a bit sick from the shot than alot sick from the thing the shot is protecting them from.
