What would you do if someone left a baby on your door step would u keep it and not tell a soul or report it??

I would report it but I would also have them let me care for it until a permenant position could be found for it elsewhere! After all it's what I do!!

This is a no-brainer. You must report this. If you want the child go through the proper channels to apply for adoption after you find out why this child was left on the door step to begin with. What if this person came back and said the child was kidnapped turning a good deed into a life sentence in prison.

Like everyone else, I would report it immediately. I would make sure to find out what would happen, where the baby would be going, and I would offer to take care of the baby until a final course of action was decided upon. I'm not sure if I would, but if I did decided that I wanted to adopt, the next step would be to file the necesary paperwork.

I would call in to report it but pray with all my soul that if the woman who so obviously does not want this child left it for me on purpose, that I would be able to keep such a wonderful gift.

Defiantly call the police because there is a crazy women running around. People don’t just leave babies on door steps there obviously need help. If you keep the baby your just as bad as the women who left it

Report it but i would ask what would happen to the baby. And offer any assistance... maybe see if i could take care of it for a while. I would like a follow up too to see what happened to the baby or the mother if they found her.

Considering that this is very illegal and could be considered kidnapping. You can however, turn it in to the authorities and tell them you are interested in adopting it. you need a social security card besides a birth certificate to get the child in school, immunized.etc. Then when she grows up she will need a social to get a job or even go to emergency hospital. To get a car license, insurance card..etc.Hope this helps.

I would offer to foster it until a loving home could be provided through permanent adoption! That is in the rainbows and butterflies world! I would report it.

I would do the responsible thing and take the child to the nearest police station. I wouldnt want to risk getting thrown in jail for the rest of my life.
