I would say that all depends on your daughter. (I'm 19, been there done that LOL). If she likes to spend hours in the bathroom, fixing her hair and putting on make up, one of those classy girly girls, you might want to go with the more expensive store. If she is anything like me, a homebody, more interested in life than what my hair looks like, or what someone thinks of me, then she will appreciate and enjoy the Walmart card. But if she is 14 she would be in Middle School, which for me was a battle field. From other girls to impressing boys, to the trendiest clothes, who's popular whos not. Its tuff being a teenager, and I think alot of parents forget that. Sorry, getting off subject. But like I said, it depends on her style. Does she have expensive taste?

I'm 18 and would personally pick Kohls out of all of them, but I'm not sure what Bealls is. I dont know what style your daughter is into, but what about a gift certificate to a nearby mall? That way she has more to chose from, and you know there will be a few places she will like.

Hi, I'm 14 too, like your daughter. I don't live in America (I'm Australian), but I know what you mean. My mum and I don't live together so she has to ask blatantly what I want for Christmas. I know this sounds thoughtless, but give your daughter money. That way she can spend it how she wants, in the store she wants, on whatever the money will cover. She might even decide to put it away and not spend it? Along with that, jewellry or (if it's not too expensive) a nice watch, or music are all nice things. I know that for Christmas I'm getting jewellry, a CD, watch, money and iPod - but only because of my grades and and the fact my mother has several family friends that I've known since I was very young. Clothes are good but like you said, you're unsure of her style... go with money, since you don't know what store she'd like best.
Hope this helps....
:)

I'm 17 and I would prefer a Kohl's gift certificate, because they have a very good sweater, and jean collection. They have the style that your daughter seems to like...Good Luck with it..!

I would get her a kohls gift card. They have name brand clothes and they often have amazing sales. I am an Aunt with a 12 year old niece. How old is your daughter? If she is younger and is still into toys...I would say get her a walmart gift card. Good Luck!

instead of getting her a gift card, why don't you set a spending limit for her, and give her a card telling her that on any given day, you will take her on a clothing shopping spree at the store(s) of her choice, where she can spend $X.xx. That way she gets what she wants, and you get some bonding time with your daughter.
or
if the situation prevents you from going shopping with her, try getting her one of those American Express gift cards that can be used anywhere.
by the way, i am 19

there's different styles for a different store. for example:
If your daughter is into dark makeup & eyeliner like goth looking, try Hot Topic.
If she dresses preppy, try Aeropostale or Abercromie.
If she's in the hip-hop crowd, get clothes like Southpole,Ecko,Nike,or Baby Phat brands.
If she likes anime or asian-type styles, get her something for Sanrio.
