Do not have sex more than once every 2 days is a suggestion I picked up from a book How to Choose the Sex of Your Child by Landrum Shettles and David Rorvik. I've known people who "gave up" on attempting to conceive and began to go through with the adoption process only to find out that they got pregnant as soon as they had adopted a child... What a wonderful surprise! :) Once the stress is relieved a bit, it's easier, because when you worry, your hormones affect many parts of your body, including your reproductive system. Good luck! :)

You can try the easy things like improving your lifestyle - cutting back on alcohol and quit smoking etc.

I went through 3 years of fertility treatments including clomid and ovulation induction/IUI and none of these worked for me. Just when the Dr told me i should try IVF next i knew i wasnt ready so i put it off and booked an overseas trip - 2 weeks before i left i found out i was pregnant the old fashioned way.

It is easy to say now be positive etc but when you are going through it it can be an emotional rollercoaster. Take heart in knowing there are other things you can try if clomid (a.k.a. the drug from hell) doesnt work. I really wasnt a fan of that one - bad side effects.

Good luck

I am 28 weeks now - after trying for 4 years. dont give up

I have a 2 1/2 month old thanks to Clomid. Hang in there. I took the Clomid for 6 cycles and it didnt work. I took a break from it for a bout 3 months then as soon as I took the 7th dose, wala! I have a son. It gets frustrating but it is worth it in the end. Dont give up!

Sorry to hear it is taking you so long after working with specialists. My only advice for you is keep trying. Use your ovulation calender to increase the chance of implantation.

I wish you and your hubby the best of luck!

Get some ovulation kits, only make love when the tests say you are ovulating that way his sperm count is built up. Don't let him take too hot of showers, that can kill his sperm and take it up to 2 months to build back up to normal. Take prenatal vitamins and have him take a multi vitamin also.

i found the best way to conceive is to not to try and get pregnant. just have fun and don't try it will happen when its ready. just don't try cause it causes to much stress and makes it harder to conceive. or if you and your hubby get into a fight the make up sex might work.
