its been 3 weeks since I have had sex with my boyfriend, I had my period on time as usual but the problem I am having is that I only had it for one day, when I usually have it for 3 or 4. I have been getting the backaches I hear about and swollen breasts and slight nausea. I took two tests and they both came out negative. Could I still be pregant despite still getting my period, and should I even bother with another hpt or just get to the doctor, or just not worry at all.

I'm having a baby shower in a couple weeks. The father of the child and his family, who are throwing the baby shower, invited his new girlfriend without asking me first. She's been trying to convince my child's father to take full custody of the baby once she's born so that they can raise her without me in the picture. Thankfully he's not the type of guy to ever do that to anyone. Is it wrong of me to ask her not to come to the shower, or to ask him not to bring her even though his family loves her and are the ones throwing the shower for me?

She's 17 lbs 11 oz (has only gained 1 lb 7 oz in 5 mths.) At her 1-year appointment Friday Ped. said there's no nutritional benefit to breastfeeding after 1 year (not sure I believe him...) & to get her on milk so she'll gain weight.

He said cut her off cold turkey. I'm reluctant to do that b/c if she DOESN'T start drinking milk then there won't be an option to at least breastfeed her. Plus I've been gradually weaning her from 5 feedings a day in September... we're down to 2 a day now. I planned to have her entirely weaned by 1st week of January.

She wouldn't drink formula either (tried 8 weeks ago.) I was hoping we'd be okay when we got the green light for milk, but no luck. She does LOVE yogurt, cheese & ice cream.

How can I get her to drink milk? I've tried it warm, cold, strawberry flavoured, sippy cup, regular cup, offering her MY cup... nothing's worked.

I know she knows she can still get BM from me. Is the Ped right? Do I cut her off and risk NO milk at all?

I just found out that my 26 y/o step daughter was raped back in August and is pregnant because of this rape. She has decided to keep the baby, and I am proud of her for that. I had the Paraguard(10yr& no hormones) iud put in when she was 2 months i believe. Anyhow, AF still hasn't shown. Then all the sudden FridaY(12.1.06) i bled for that day only and then nothing since then! And it wasnt enuff to even wear anything. So should i be worried? Should i call the doctor? Last time i went which was about 2 maybe 3 months ago, the IUD was in place and fine...

I have custody of my lil sister who is 9 her b-day is December 21st...What can I do for her b-day without spending a ton of money?? I had my last period 45 days back, so I am more than 10 days due. Usually my breasts hurt around 2-3 days before a period, this time, no such signs. No other possible reasons such as sickness, medication or stress.

The only thing is that about 40 days back my husband and I had sex and he withdrew before ejaculation, and I have read one could get pregnant bcoz of that. I did a HPT (1st response) 2 days back and it came out negative.

I dont want to be pregnant at this point in my life! I dont know what to expect! Any suggestions????

Ok, so I took a pregnancy test a couple of weeks ago, because every morning I would wake up and have the runs... I am not a known "thrower upper". I have only thrown up like 5 times in my whole life (about to be 23 years old). Just wanted to rule it out, and shut people up. When we took it, it came back with the reg line, and then it had a neg line... but faintly, you could see the grey line for the positive... we just threw it away, thinking it was negative. My fiance is a lover of yahoo answers, and likes to just read some of the funny ones, he came across one that was similar.. (minus the whole not throwing up thing) and everyone responded with YOU ARE PREGNANT. ... Now, I am curious, and cant stop thinking about it. Is it true? Could it be? Help!

my partner an i have been disscusing our birth plan.( this is my first baby) i want to give a water birth ago in my local hospital so if i have a problem i can be helped quickly. he is being increadably controlling and states ' i have to give birth in bed with a doctor present or he wont be there.
i am consider a slightly high risk because i have had several miscariages but as this will be in a hospital my midwife has asured me it is safe and can result in an easier delivery.
i want as little pain relief as possable. how do i explain this to my partner.
i am the one going through the pain of childbirth i need to be comfortabl right.
any advice will be much appreciated.
