Here are the hints they have given:

* it is an actual name (not like Zylandria or something)
* it is not a common name (so not Jennifer or Christopher)
* it has to do with music somehow.

My daughter is shy. Our reltavies live out of town, so she doesn't see them very often. When they do come to visit, they obviously want to hug her and talk to her (She talks VERY well.), but all she does is pout and hide behind me. My in-laws are very out-going and think that I am encouraging her by letting her cling to me and picking her up when she feels shy. I say I'm letting her take her own time to interact with family. Plus I feel like they are actually making things worse, because they make SUCH a big deal about her not paying attention to them. I mean, if she was 5 and still doing this, I might be able to talk to her about being polite, etc. But for now she's 2!!! Who's right?

She is very smart and can count very high, know her abc's lots of words but she refuses to learn how to go potty, ride her bike, play with her sit and spin etc. I know kids do things in their own time but jeez. What should I do besides wait? She is the only child.

My boyfriend broke up with me via email last Nov when I became pregnant with our daughter. We were together for almost 2 years and it was a big shock to me. He wanted me to have an abortion and I refused. He moved away to another state in Jan of this year and I havent seen or heard from him. I see him online and he wont acknowledge me. He did only one time. I have focused all of my energies on becoming a good mother and taking care of our little girl. I am so lonely and all I do is cry because for some strange reason I still miss him so much. When we were together everything seemed so perfect. I just dont see how he can walk away from someone he "allegedly" loved and his child? My whole life has just been turned upside down and I just cant move past it. I dont want to bother him because he knows how to reach me, but chooses not to. How should I deal with this? How can I stop the sadness, and pick up the pieces to my broken life? Im tired of crying each and everyday nothing helps Thanks

Abortion questions are always on here but i disagree with most of them.Im pro choice, but cant help to think that woman that have them shouldve been more careful.I was just wondering if the people on here that preach about how wrong it is,protest and make the girls/womans lives deliberatly uncomfortable because they want an abortion, put that much effort into helping childrens charitys? There are plently of children out there which are getting beaten/mollested that need help, not to mention children that have no parents etc.I think its a much more worthwhile cause trying to help them than people who dont want you interferring.

okay so there is this guy that i have liked for a long time. i am pretty sure that he likes me too. but i just wanted to see what your guys opinion on this situation is. we were at a basketball game yesterday because we are both in band and he surprised me by coming. the whole time we talked and when he went to go say somthing to our friend and i would look at the game for a minute, he would check up on me and ask if i was okay. then he would stare at me and smile and act really goofy. it was really funny. and laugh at everything i said but not when we were being serious. but i don't know.

Hi all

I'm 21wks and i'm considering buying or hiring a doppler. I can feel baby moving around a lot these days but its still not strong enough for my fiance to feel so i was thinking of getting him a doppler as he really feels left out.

Has anyone else hired/purchased a doppler? Was it worth the expense? And are they safe to use at home?

Thank you.

My sister-n-law just got home from a C-section. She was burping the baby and watching tv. Next thing she felt the baby fall. She had fallen asleep I am sure to exhaustion and pain medication. The baby is fine. Checked by emergency room etc. She however is a mess and keeps chastizing herself as a bad mother. This is her first child. Her own mom died 21 months ago. She is 25. She feels alone. I am trying to reassure her she is not the only one accidents happen too. Thank god the baby is fine. The er docs did find that she had jaundice with high levels and took immediate action to correct that. Maybe fate brought them to find the jaundice because it is apparently pretty bad, though why the hospital released with no notification of possible jaundice is another question. Please send me your stories so I can show she is not the only one that accidents happen too.
