Question number 1: How and where can I obtain a new copy of my little one's birth certificate, and does it cost anything?

Question number 2: How do I get a name put on there, I wasn't married when I had my son, so I didn't put his father's name on it because I didn't know if we would stay together (not sure why I thought that) but now we are married and I want to add his name to the birth certificate how do I go about doing that.

It's a running thing in my family that the first girl is either named Alice, or it's her middle name. I don't really like it as a first name, so I'm trying to find a name that would flow well with it. If you can give any ideas, it would be appreciated.

My daughter was 7 pounds 12 ounces she was 19 half inches long her head was 13 half inches her chest was 13 and 1/4 doesnt that seem like she had a really big head? lol i know that was a long time ago cause she is getting ready to be 4 but whats most kids sizes of there heads and chests?

I have a son who is 10 months old. My husband wants to have a 2 year gap between babies and I would prefer a 4 year gap. I think it will give us adequate 1 on 1 time with our son... get him out of diapers and in preschool (to allow more alone time with the infant during the day)... still have the children relatively close together... but far enough apart that it will be a little easier. What do you think? Anyone have a 4 year gap between children? How did it work out? Thanks.

Okay, my grandson has been through hell and back - rape, abuse, you name it, he's experienced it. Not to mention the abuse my own husband put him through when he was in the house. The guy is in jail now, but the police are saying I'm an unfit gaurdian.

I mean, I know he tried to commit suicide, but I have helped him in every way possible. I've gotten him coucling and other help, and they just yanked him out and put him in foster care!

I was the one who filed the damn police report, I got him arrested! I got him councling, and I didn't turn a blind eye to the abuse!

HELP!

Im 11 weeks 4 days pregnant. I feel great, my morning sickness (that lasted all day) has finally subsided and i got alot of my energy back. But i have been feeling alot of crampy pain a little below my naval and in my hip bones. Is this because the baby is growing and taking up more space? Is there anything I can do to ease the pain a bit? I'm going to discuss this with my OB my appt. is on Dec. 6th.

Okay, ,my last period was on November 1, 2006. I found out I was pregnant on November 29, 2006. My OBGYN however did not prescribe me with vitamins cause he said it's still too early. He said he'll check up on me in four weeks. What should I do? Should I just start taking them anyways the from OTC like Nature Made Prenatal Multi Vitamins?

Every now and then when she eats she PUKES everything when trying to cough..it disturbs me sooo much because it's already hard to get her to eat. I just want the puking to stop.
We have been to the doctor and take everything for cough and nothing is working. The doctor says there is very little we can do till the cough goes away..what can we do in the interim? Thank you. (Serious answers only please)

I asked a question before about whether it is possible to have a period during your pregnancy, to which i recieved mixed responses. I asked because i am trying for a baby with my partner and this month, my period came early and was lighter than normal. Naturally i assumed i wasnt pregnant, but some women have experienced the same during pregnancy. I have been feeling nauseous when i wake up and in the evenings. I have developed a spotty rash on my back when i have never suffered from any skin complaints and also my stomach has been cramping. In addition to this, i thought i had a stomach bug as i have had a jippy tummy for over a week now, which is not normal. Could any of these things be symptoms of pregnancy? Or am i just a bit under the weather at the moment do you think? I would be grateful for any responses. Thanks! x

i am 1cm dilated 60% effaced and baby is stationed at -2....is there any advice anyone can give me on things that might help....i have been having contractions pretty regular but not so painful at all...just crampy...i went to L&D last night and they sent me home ...my contractions were anywhere from 5 to 1 min apart but not consistant...so they sent me home....so any advice cause i am so ready to have this baby??

I was 2cm dilated on tuesday but have been having contraction 7-10 minutes apart since last saturday. I was at the hospital saturday last week again on monday and again for on Tuesday for my regular OB appointment they said not to come in to the hospital unless my contraction went to 4-5minutes apart and more painful.My QUESTION IS HAS ANYONE BEEN IN LABOR FOR A WEEK AND IF SO HOW MUCH LONGER THAN ME AND ALSO HOW WAS YOUR DELIVERY LIKE IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY BODY? They did say they would induce me tomorrow if still no baby by then.. I just wonder if there was someone in the same boat as me?

I've always been a huge sweet tea drinker and i'm now 6 weeks pregnant. I've been cutting down alot, but it's such a hard habit. It's not like I'm smoking or drinking alcohol but i know it's still not that good. what is your opinion on it?? How many cups are "ok"? Thanks for your advice.
