I never had cramps or backaches with my periods until the last two years, I'm 38. Some women have them, some don't. Everyone's body is different. If you don't have them, count yourself lucky.

Ive not had any period pain since having my kids, and am not on any birth control at all, my husband had a vasectomy.
Before having the kids I got the worst pains ever, usually needed a couple of days off work as I couldn't move about they were so bad, Dr gave me some v strong pain killers which helped a little.
Im not suggesting that people go out and have kids to help with teh pain though!!

Yes, I am. I used to cramp but now I just allow it rather than fight it. I find that the pain usually lessens that way. Also I don't eat cold stuff/ drink cold stuff before or during my period because according to my Grandma it's bad for your body. Your body is in a sensitive state, so be easy on it.
I also found that doing crunches and ab workouts when I am not on my period helped kicked out the cramps during my period.

I get a sharp pain in my belly a week or two before my period and that is it. I don't seem to get pains and cramps anymore although I did when I was younger. I have never been on a contraceptive pill or anything like that.

I've never had cramps during my period on a regular basis. I mean I've had them occasionally but not on a monthly basis, and I wasn't on birth control of any kind.

If I slack off on excersizing I really pay for it at that time of month.
Try regular walking, ab and lower body excercises. Last resort Tea and ibuprofen at the first sign.
