Okay, my grandson has been through hell and back - rape, abuse, you name it, he's experienced it. Not to mention the abuse my own husband put him through when he was in the house. The guy is in jail now, but the police are saying I'm an unfit gaurdian.

I mean, I know he tried to commit suicide, but I have helped him in every way possible. I've gotten him coucling and other help, and they just yanked him out and put him in foster care!

I was the one who filed the damn police report, I got him arrested! I got him councling, and I didn't turn a blind eye to the abuse!

HELP!

Are you allowed to talk to your grandson to see how he feels about returning home to you? Maybe it is best that he and you have a time out from each other just for awhile. I suggest family counselling if that's possible. He isn't the only one that needs counselling...you've been through some hard stuff too and you need help to deal with that. It can't be easy for you to deal with what your husband did. I wish you well and I know you've been dealt with a tough thing and you are trying to do the best you can to cope. Above all I most definately do not think you are a bad person, nor is your grandson. Stuff happens that is totally out of our control. Just try to remain positive and do what you can to change things around.

How old is your grandson? What's he in jail for?

Where are his parents?

Get a lawyer and a social worker to help you out, guide you.

Maybe being with you would be a very painful reminder of his abuse. I wouldn't push the issue.
