Does anyone have any positive or negative thoughts on working moms? I have a 17 month old and a 9 week old. I've been at my job 8 1/2 years now, and I am on maternity leave right now. I am looking for a nanny right now. Will being a working mom hurt my children? My husband also owns two businesses very close to our home.

My daughter has suddenly got sick today, she is vomiting and has a 102.5 fever and a runny nose. All the doctors offices are now closed for the holidays. So I will take her to the hospital if I cant get her fever down, any suggestions?

My sister-in-law was told that she is pregnant, but the baby is outside the uterus. She doesn't believe in abortion, so she refuses to do so, even if the doctor told her that it would be the best thing for her to do. They told her that if she does decide to have the baby, that it might be born with some defects. What would you advice?

My dog pulls on the leash when he sees another dog and I am pregnant. I was wondering if anything could happen?He is only 35 pounds but he pulls pretty hard.He doesn't pull the whole walk only when he sees another dog.

I am 38 weeks pregnant, almost 3 cm dilated, 50% effaced ( whatever that means) and my doc told me to take 2 tbsp of castor oil tonight, and that shoudl get me rolling....into labor!!! any one experience it. does it really work? if so, how long before you went into labor, after taking it?

Over two years go my son was diagonosed with adhd, however we have been taking him to a counsler for children. She now ays she is almost 100% sure he has bipolor disorder. I need easy to read and understand information about child bipolor. I have a meeting with the school mondy and I wasnt to be well prepared with infromation. That is also easy to understand. Any help or advice or info is gratly appreciated!!!

I had a gastric band fitted 2 1/2 years ago to help me lose weight.since losing 4 stone i have become pregnant after an 11 year gap between my daughter.I am very pleased and my surgeon says i can keep the band in but might have to have it deflated a bit.I am suffering with morning sickness and tiredness at the moment and can keep hardly any food or drink down,it`s hard to tell if it`s because of the baby or the band!! i was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has gone through a pregnancy with a band fitted or knows of anyone who has,for a bit of support.It`s my birthday on dec 1st so life definetly begins at 40 !!!!! lol.

any suggestions? i was a uk size 10 before getting pregnant and always been reasonably healthy, hence i have not worried about eating fruit and veg. have you got any ideas on how i can start eating them? have avoided them all my life and have convinced myself i don't like them.

One that choices formula over breastmilk??
One that starts solids to early...putting cerceal in the babys bottle, oatmeal at 2 months etc???
One that has a circumcision done on their son??

I think they all are irresponsible/dumb decisions.

I started loosing my plug this morning at 9am, im not contracting, and im not in any pain. I want to get things moving and sex is out of the question. Ive been out all day long walking, is there anything that anyone knows of or has tried after the plug is gone to make things go into active labor or even labor. Everyday I pack him his lunch for school. Of course I alternate from bologna to ham, and sometimes give him lunch money if he does not want another sandwich. Along with his lunch, I pack him a fruit and another snack like cookies or chips. I always make sure he eats before he goes to school. He is ADHD, so I know that his medication would will give him loss of appetite.
This week, he has been going to the nurses office after lunch complaining of a headache, and he has not eaten lunch. This makes me furious becuase I know I make him lunch every morning, and it makes me confused because he lied about not having any food. He already is a picky eater- does not like veggies, or chicken. I have a hard time feeding him. He loves any pasta, mac & cheese, Alfredo sauce, grilled cheese, and burgers, and certain kinds of chicken nuggets.
I don't understand what compels him to tell the school that he has no food for lunch. The school calls my husband & I to question us. Why is he doing this?

My daughter is out growing her toys like no tommorrow... is there any place where i can take the toys to to sell them... it's too cold to have a yard sale... not enough room to store them here so if you have any ideas that would be great... I'm a single mom and intend to buy her x-mas gifts with the $$ I get from selling her old toys... they all are in good to great condition and I have bought them myself for her... I am scared because I messed up my birth control pills last week. I have been on the pill for a year. Last Thursday Im pretty sure me and my bf had unprotected sex. Then I missed my pill on Friday. I remembered on Sat, so I took 2 pills on Sat and then Saturday night we had unprotected sex again. Then on Sunday I missed my pill again and on MOnday I took 2. I didnt know, until reading about it these past couple days, that each missed pills creates more of a chance and I just need to know from people who may have some knowledge about this. From my situation, could I be pregnant? Also, when I missed these pills I was at the end of the first week of the pack. So I just need to know if there is a chance and how much of a chance? Im really worried and so if my bf.
