Ryder,

AND...what are some good boy names that you know? I'm almost 8 months and can't decide on a name. I want something different but not something other kids will make fun of. My 5 year old son's name is Nathaniel Blayne and I love his name. I want something for this baby that I will like just as well. Help please??

I love almost all of the names you have chosen-you have great taste. I like Logan and Jackson the best,it will fit well as they age too. Not crazy about Jacob because there are just so many of them everywhere. Ryder is ok but, it is a moving company so I don't know about that one. Blake sounds like an old man and it rhymes with too many things.

I agree with your 5-year-old, Rylee seems very feminine to me. And I don't care for the name anyway, because I associate it with a tv character that I do not like.

As for the other ones, I like Jackson, Blake and Ryder(but I would spell it Rider. Adding Y to a name is a trend that makes it seem feminine). Jack is a great nickname.

What about Jackson Ryder or Ryder Jackson?

I like the name Drake, but I will forever associate it with a song from teh movie 'Annie'. You know "When you wake, ring for Drake, Drake will bring you're tray..."

I like the name Jacob, and I think it would go well with Nathaniel, but it would not do if you are looking for something 'different.' Jacob has been in the top ten names for the past century or so. My brother's name is Jacob, and he has two other Jacob's in his grade at school.

I don't like the name Logan. At all. It makes me think alternately of a bleach-blond, blockhead surfer or the clean-cut, super boring boyfriend from the Babysitter's Club.

Drake- reminds me of a vampire cowboy

Blake- sounds like a steak knife or something sharp

Jacob Rylee- Jacob is nice but lose the rylee.

Jackson (Jack) Rylee- Jackson is ok but not my style. Again lose the Rylee. If I had to spell Rylee, it would be spelled Riley instead

Logan- is ok but not my style

Ryder- reminds me of that condom brand called "rough rider".

Here are some suggestions that could go well with Nathaniel Blayne:

Robert Tristan
Aidan Christopher
Austin Garrett

Okay, I'm doing what I did when I was pregnant. I'd think of a name and ask myself things like..."Have I ever heard this in a prison movie?" and "If I named my child this...what could other kids use to pick on him over?"

Love Logan...but Ryder may be teased. Other kids could pick on him, saying things like "You're a RYDER on the short bus."

I dislike Blake due to Robert Blake (the actor who most likely murdered his wife semi-recently).

Drake is okay, but a male duck is a drake, so he may be teased with that.

Jackson is okay (Michael Jackson won't matter forever) and kids don't often have the name Jack anymore, so it would be unique.

Jacob isn't bad, but it's still a bit popular so he wouldn't be as unique as you might think. Rylee is cute for a middle name, but that spelling is a little bit feminine to me.

I like the name Liam too. Just one of those names I've always liked. Josiah is unique but very biblical.

Jackson is wonderful! It's the best on your list by far. Drake, Blake, and Ryder are not good and they don't go with Nathaniel. Jackson Riley is nice. Rylee looks like a feminine spelling.

I have 4 boys, so I know plenty of boy names,

Dakota, Dove, Deanthony, Christian, Noah, are some, I do like Logan, Ryder and Rylee. Also if you like a name but not the spelling, you can also spell the name the way you want. my children names are unique and never will be seen on any pencil or toy. I wanted there names to be special and one of a kind like they are. Good Luck and Congratulations!!!!

My favorite is Ryder. That is very original and a masculine name. I also like Jackson Rylee.
When I say Logan I think of a berry. Jacobs are very common. Blake and Drake are are pretty good.
You must be so excited to see him, congrats!
