because its their jobs as parents to make sure their kids are taken care of and are safe with the people their kids date.

my parents never really had a problem with who my sister and i dated. as long as they treated us right and that we were happy. they are parents and they want the best for us. when my kids get older, i will have no problem with who they date.

Because we've spent fifteen or twenty years of our lives making sure our kids are happy, healthy, clean and dressed, and sociable. Kids are a HUGE investment of time and effort. I will be damned if all of that is going to go to waste just because my child gets involved with someone totally useless and unsuitable. I haven't put this much effort in to see it wasted.

Oh, we worry, we can't help it. We want our kids to be with good people who will treat them right and look out for them. We don't want our kids getting in with the wrong crowd. We just worry because we love our kids.

Because parents love their children and genuinely want what is best for their children which means protecting them from someone that isn't a good boyfriend or girlfriend.

because they dont want u to get hurt ,put ur selve in their place how would u feel if u had a daughter or son dating a person that u dont know for all u know they could be a drug attic they luv u and they care for u thats why .

Because we love our childeren and we only want the best for them. We don't like to see our kids get hurt and if someone they date hurts them in anyway we feel responsible if we didn't do anything about it.

They worry that who you are dating could be a bad influence on you or wont treat you with respect. Parents cant help it. No one is good enough for their baby.

They tell you who to date because they care. Trust me when me and my X were going out he always acted like a sweetheart like nothing else mattered. My parents kept telling me we need to break up and stop dating because they just saw a diffrent side of him than I saw. Then one night we was in his room and he kept trying to force me to do stuff I obviously didnt want to do. I kept trying to force myself up but he wouldnt let me. If I would of listened to them none of that woulda happened. Now hes in Juve and wont be out till hes 17. Im 14 and trust me their just trying to protect you!
