I am scared because I messed up my birth control pills last week. I have been on the pill for a year. Last Thursday Im pretty sure me and my bf had unprotected sex. Then I missed my pill on Friday. I remembered on Sat, so I took 2 pills on Sat and then Saturday night we had unprotected sex again. Then on Sunday I missed my pill again and on MOnday I took 2. I didnt know, until reading about it these past couple days, that each missed pills creates more of a chance and I just need to know from people who may have some knowledge about this. From my situation, could I be pregnant? Also, when I missed these pills I was at the end of the first week of the pack. So I just need to know if there is a chance and how much of a chance? Im really worried and so if my bf.

Thanks everyone, your input is totally appreciated.

You did the right thing with your pills. I have done the same thing and my doctor told me to do that and that's also what it says in the directions. But if you miss more than 2 pills you are suppose to throw that pack away, let your period start, and then start the next pack. And since this was at the end of your first week of pills, it is a possibility that you could have gotten pregnant. Remember, your ovulation date is around 14 days from the first day of your last period.

Next time just try and be a little more careful, and take a test when your period is due just to make sure. Good luck with the results that you want.

There's a possibility that you may be, but you won't know until you actually miss a period, and unfortunately i can't predict whether you are or whether you're not.

Make sure you read the insert in your birth control package, it will tell you exactly what you're supposed to do in case you miss 2 pills in the same month. (I guess this is a little late) If you definitely don't want to get pregnant you should also be using another method of BC this month, like condoms.

Also, if you're not taking the pill at the same time everyday, it's not as effective (all this info is on the birth control pamphlet that comes with EVERY package of pills), so if you really don't want to get pregnant and you're on the pill you should also definitely be using condoms all the time.

Good Luck to you,

It is possible that you could be pregnant, but I was on the pill for 5 years and did miss a few and doubled up a few times and never got pregnant. I would recommend trying the Nuva Ring if you are having trouble remembering your pill. I really liked it. However, a warning - I got pregnant within 2 weeks of stopping the ring. My husband and I were trying, but never expected it to happen that soon. I've heard of others that this happened to as well. So if you don't want to be pregnant make sure you follow the directions carefully for any birth control method you use.

In all honesty I have not taken birth control pills in like 5 or 6 years. I do recall if I missed a pill here and there I would become so nauseous and throw up. I would also have some "spotting" when I missed pills. If you miss pills here and there you could possibly become pregnant if your having unprotected sex. Since you have taken the hpt's and there negative, all you can do is wait and see what happens (period comes a few days late, if missed pills/doubled up, etc) or if your worried you could go to your health department and they might be able to do a pregnancy blood test, which is more sensitive and accurate. It also matters which hpt your using. Some have different sensitivity's, make sure to test with the one that says early results, etc. As far as your mom scaring you, relax and take it easy. It is only normal for something like this to scare you, especially if it were to be "unplanned". Good luck with everything.

A woman normally start to ovulate on or about the 10 to 12 days after her LMP. So if you had sex around this time then yes it is a possibility you "could" be pregnant. Wait till you miss you period or if you start to feel pregnancy symptoms before you both really start to worry.

Semen can live for 12 to 48 hours, if they are in a moist warm area.

Just be careful next time you have sex if you are not ready to be a mother because you can get pregnant anytime. It will not matter if you are on the pill or not.

Yes there is a reasonable chance that you are pregnant. Take a pregnancy test when your period is due, and a week after. Even if you have a period it is better to test, better safe than sorry.

Also you may want to consider a back up method of birth control. If you are really against condoms you could try the contraceptive sponge or Lea's Shield both of which are available without a prescription.

Well there is a good chance... but I wouldn't want to be taking two pills at a time... that might not be good for your body. I took too many at once and didn't know I was already a month pregnant and I lost it. Talk to your doctor babe and find out if you are. And be careful on taking too many pills.

yes you could, but don't assume it. keep using condoms until you find out. buy a two pack of pregnancy tests(everyone double checks so its cheaper that way) . get a test that says it detects early. you can probably take it next wednesday, then repeat it 5-7 days later. my guess is that bc pills are not for you. everyone i know that has 2 or more scares ends up prego in a few months. there are lots of alternatives. talk to your doctor.

Depending on how long you have been on your pills, more than likely you will not be pregnant. I do not understand why you kept having unprotected sex when you knew you messed up your pills? That to me sounds like you want to get pregnant.

of course there may be a chance but it is probably a small chance that you will get pregnant, you have to be on the week that your ovulating which is most of the time the 14 day after the first day of your period but of course not everyone works this way but I wouldn't worry to much because then you could make your period not come this month for sure.---best of luck but I think there is a small chance
