I'm babysitting for a 10 year old boy. His parents instructed me to give a suppository before bed if he has not gone poo the whole day per. his doctors orders.

Do I have him stand up for it or what? How can I make it non-painful? What do I do if he struggles? Is it better to use gloves?

I've tried calling them, but their phone seems to not have service/lost power.

Thanks for anybody who can help me. I'll award points for best answer.

how to put my 9 mnth old to bed all alone in a different room. i find it too hard. poor thing. if he gets up at night and cries for something, i wont be around to comfort him instantly. and as he grows older he's going to be aware of the empty room and may be scared.

He is 6'2" white, straight red hair no dimples, hazel eyes. I am black, 5'9", african american type hair, a little passed my shoulders, no dimples and brown eyes. Also, I am have been told that even if a black and white couple have a baby, the baby could still be very dark or very light. Is that true?

Heres my question? Im trying to get pregant, I have almost all the syptoms took a hpt was negative, I did however bleed lightly around the time my period was due but was no where near normal. I have pain in my lower adomen and worried that I might have miscarried? Is it possible to lightly bleed when your period is due and still be pregant?

My 5 year old just came down with the stomach flu on Sat. morning and had just a bit of runny poops and then vomited a little the first time and then enough for a 5 year old the second time. The next day he had a couple (small runny poops) and did not want to eat. The next day (mon.) he had one runny poop (small) around 5 pm and then woke up today wanting to eat. He ate two kelloggs waffles and then had some fries later on. He just now had two runny poops and the last one was awful. Does anyone think I should try a pepto bismo for him or would that make it worse? Yesterday and today he has been running around like he is back to normal. Could it be food poisoning? I would take him in to see the doctor, but I don't want to drag him in if it is a waste of time and they say it is just a virus and let it run it's course. I hate to see him like this. Any thoughts or if someone might have had this experience already with their child, any help would be appreciative! Never any fevers

He lines up EVERYTHING...spoons, cars, magnets, tater tots, french fries, DVD's. Whatever he has he puts it in a line. Is this normal. He can talk a little and is very loving and affectionate, but this is strange to me?

Over the past 24 hours, my 10 week old son has begun showing an exaggerated startle reflex, though there is no external stimuli that we can determine.
He will be sleeping peacefully in a cradle, swing or in my arms, and about 2 to 5 minutes after falling asleep, he will fling his arms out and begin screaming as though he is terrified.
What could this be caused by?
I don't think that obstructive apnea is a problem, as that would have manifested earlier, and initiated less drastically.

Any Ideas as to how to help the poor little guy?

Hi,
I had my daughter 2 years ago and for the last 18 months I have experienced abdominal pain (mostly just before and during my period). However, the pain is more prominant just under my ribs, down the right side and above my pubic line.
At one stage I was somewhat worried about this, so after seeing my doctor and to put my mind at ease we decided to have an ultrasound performed on my liver, kidneys, etc.
Results all came back clear.
I was speaking to a friend of mine, whose daughter is 2.5 and she is 8 months pregnant with her second child. She too had the same severe pains and the results came back clear.
My doctor said that this specific pain is common with women who have beared children and even though they associate the pain with period, some women can have this pain well before and after their period and this is due to the body having had changed.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, when did the pain seem to go away.
Before the birth my cramps weren't so severe.

Can you please share you experiences in selling used (gently used) maternity clothes. I tried ebay and craigslist, no luck. I tried with my babystyle maternity shirt, didn't even put a starting price, asked to make an offer. Why is it hard to sell maternity clothes? I went to used kids store (they also sell maternity stuff), they said lots of people want to sell and not a lot of people want to buy.
Please share you stories, experiences, and advice.

Thanks!

I am a single mother of one. Sometimes friends will ask me to do things at the last minute and I can't because of work commitments or because I can't get a babysitter. I feel bad about this and try to explain why I can't, but lately I've noticed some people have stopped asking me to do things unless it is something with quite a bit of notice.
None of my friends have children, so I don't expect them to understand fully. Does anyone else ever have this problem?

I know genetics are hard to gage, but I was wondering if anyone knew characteristics our baby would most likely have (skin color, eye color, hair color). I know some people are really good on the genetics topic, I unfortunately am not. Just wondering.

My son is 20 years old, strong and healthy (thank God), works full time and makes decent money. He gives me some money out of each check, but our arrangement had been that it would be a low amount and he would do a few chores around the house. Recently, between work and an active social life, he has neglected his chores almost entirely. Here's my question: would it be better to charge him more money and do the chores myself (easier) or force the issue? Opinions?

they just don´t stop talking, it´s impossible to separate the most disruptive students, because there is only 1 table and the classroom is very small as well...there´s no office where I can send them to...it´s not a school, but a place they go to AFTER school to learn English...they don´t care about bad grades either...

ok i am 1 week over due and for the past 3 days i have not been able to walk at all and two days ago i had an ultrasound that said my baby's head was really low which is why its hard for me to walk, they also said my baby is around 9 pounds, ( which kinda scares me, i am a skinny framed person @ 45- 50kg when im not pregnant & 24 yrs old). i wont know until tom if they are going to induce me or not. my question about labour is how will i know if i am actually in labour? are there any signs besides waters breaking? since last night i have been having contraction like pains but have not had any more for a few hours or so and i am vomiting all time and when i do i get these bad pain in the lower part of my belly!
do u think it could be the start of labour? other than these problems i feel fine. how long did labour last for you?

also these pains seem to be irregular if that helps.
thanks in advance
