Hi,
I had my daughter 2 years ago and for the last 18 months I have experienced abdominal pain (mostly just before and during my period). However, the pain is more prominant just under my ribs, down the right side and above my pubic line.
At one stage I was somewhat worried about this, so after seeing my doctor and to put my mind at ease we decided to have an ultrasound performed on my liver, kidneys, etc.
Results all came back clear.
I was speaking to a friend of mine, whose daughter is 2.5 and she is 8 months pregnant with her second child. She too had the same severe pains and the results came back clear.
My doctor said that this specific pain is common with women who have beared children and even though they associate the pain with period, some women can have this pain well before and after their period and this is due to the body having had changed.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, when did the pain seem to go away.
Before the birth my cramps weren't so severe.

I had a problem with severe pain and it ended up being endometriosis and that doesn't show on an ultrasound, there are lots of sites on it and you should look it up and consult your doctor, sometimes it's hard to diag. I had it for many years immd. following the birth of my first child. I dealt with it until after my second child and had to have a hysterectomy 10 weeks ago. I am 31 years old and now I feel normal and pain free, I'm not saying that this is what you have but it's highly possible. Talk to your doctor and go check out the websites and do the questionaire it offers. Good Luck.

Please talk to your Doctor about something Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a problem many women have during their childbearing years. It means that a type of tissue that lines your uterus is also growing outside your uterus. This does not always cause symptoms, and it usually is not dangerous. But it can cause pain and other problems.

The tissue grows on other organs and can cause severe pain. The only way to test for it is for your doctor to make a small incision in your abdomen area and slip a small camera in. They have to physically look for it.

I have the same pain you are describing and it turned out I had this. It took 4 1/2 years to get diagnosed because no one gave me a heads up.

Talk to your Doctor about this. It is more common in women who have had children.

Gall bladder symptoms can show up when a person is having babies. The symptoms are very elusive and are hard to pinpoint until they are really severe. You may want to get blood tests for gall bladder problems.

Um that sounds extraordinarily severe, and she or he might desire to truly see a Gynecologist.....If it keeps, she might desire to no longer be waiting to have toddlers. She might desire to be under weight so as that's why she might desire to no longer be having her era, or another severe scientific problem.
