how to put my 9 mnth old to bed all alone in a different room. i find it too hard. poor thing. if he gets up at night and cries for something, i wont be around to comfort him instantly. and as he grows older he's going to be aware of the empty room and may be scared.

I remember those days well, I didn't want to let my child in a room either but I have to thank my ex mother in law for showing me that they need stability in there life's as we did when we where growing up and part of that is letting us and the new ones be apart of life. As far as day care just keep a voice recorder or even a camcorder on hand for the daycare worker to record any special events. Hope it all works at well for you.

As parents we have to learn to trust others and let go. No one will care for your child the way you do. Find someone that you can trust. Someone that you can openly communicate with. I work the weekend shift because I have had many babysitting issues. I work 2 12 hour shifts and get paid for 36 hours, so that equals into 72 hours every two weeks. It has worked for me. I can't tell you how many jobs I have lost due to babysitting issues. It is a serious dilema for working moms.

I am a teacher but I started my career in daycare so I saw this all the time. It is always harder for you than it is for your child. You have to find a daycare that understands how you feel and will allow you to call (several times) to check on him or even stop by and see how he is doing. You are doing your child a big favor by introducing him to daycare as an infant. The younger they are the easier it is for them to accept a change in their routine. It is very difficult for you but if you find a good daycare it will get easier every day.

Toss out the books!!!! Do what you feel is right! I went through the same thing! I let them sleep with me when they woke up, and they are all healthy teens now (in their own beds) Honestly, what you do now is what you have to live with. I'd like to have as little regrets as possible. What may be right for some, may not be right for you. Nobody's right nobody's wrong, just different. You can tell youi an awesome mom just by this much concern! Just have faith in yourself and what your heart tells you!

I personally found it alot easier not only for me but for my daughter to put her in a home daycare of have a nanny/babysitter come to my home. The daycare centers are ok but, a smaller more personable atmosphere was alot better than a large center
