Pregnancy & Parenting - 17 November 2006

I am seven months along and one is a boy; one is a girl. ^___^

I am very fond of exotic and non traditional names; things like John and Jessica and Mary and Chris are kind of excluded. I don't want anything that's really common - my name is Sarah and there were usually three other girls named Sarah in every class I had all through school. However, I don't want my kids to be mocked, so, please, any suggestions are welcome! The more, the better!

I like names of all nationalities and countries, so don't hesitate to suggest something a little strange. But I will be avoiding 'Poindexter'. :)

My baby has never been a easy one to get to sleep. We tried normal stuff right away snug blankets and all that and nothing. The best way we ever found was just to leave room she would cry for 30 minutes every night and never got over it. Even after 2 months she would still cry for 30 minutes frantically. She is now 3 out of crib and it takes me 2 hours every night to get her to sleep. She will just flop around in bed. If I leave room she follows I take her back and back and back but still will not sleep. Once shes asleep she's out for night usually 10 -12 hours. I think i have tried everything lights, low music, reading books. Help please

My son is 6 weeks old and he's been congested for the past couple of days. I tried to use saline drops but they weren't successful. Any suggestions on what I could do to help get him through the weekend. He will see dr. on Monday.

She is a little jaundice and so she is constantly tired and not wanting to wake up to eat. She typically eats every 2 hours and takes 1- 1&1/2 oz. for a total of 12-14oz in a 24 hr. period. The Dr. said that I need to be trying to feed her more often. ? Also does sunlight really help with jaundice and does it have to be bright sunlight or just daylight!

okay say they are 13+ and they get preg. planned or accident either way.......there still preg..........anyways if they are very very mature and have a job or a boyfriend with a job that is no more than 1-2 years older and are okay financially and have parents to support them (non-money wise) throughout the pregnancy and postpartum?if they are willing to do anything and everything to raise their baby.what do you think???

I personally wanted to recruit some student to take care age from 7 to 12. I wonder will parent like you will consider this choice? The good point is the number of children will be small and attendtion will be well given. I would run just like other centre is doing only that I run it in my house. He has never been agressive. The teacher said that he acts this way when he does not get to do what he wants. It started a couple of months into the school year. He says he does it because his brain tells him too. Other times he tells me he hates school and wants to stay home. The principal says he is great with no problems some days and with no apparent trigger he snaps. Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde she said. Even said he may have some chemical imbalance to see pediatrician. He has not acted out at home until the last two weeks. All his previous teachers, my friends, and other family can hardly believe it because this is so out of nature for him. I have no idea where to begin. The school has scheduled a behavioral intervention in 10 days to decide what to do.

im a stay at home mom but recently i have been letting my daughter go over her dads for 2-4 hours and he stays with his girlfriend and she has a little girl and boy that are about 3 and 4 years old but it seems as though these past couple of days my daughter has been humping her pillow or her doll and and she shows no signs of sexual abuse but im concerned that either him and his girl friend have no respect for my daughter and do stuff in front of her or im afraid that her little boy might be "playing" with her and i dont know how to get my daughter to understand that it isnt right for her to do that or how to approach the father about it without sounding accusing but protective.

(this is my first child and im stressed with another on the way by the same guy so please be helpful and refrain from making stupid comments)

I am 17 years old, ive been sexually active with my boyfriend for 1 year and half. Ever since then, my menstrual cycle changed from 30 days to 35 days. But it's been really abnormal lately. I had my period on Aug. 5 2006, lasted for about a week. After that cycle, I had my period on Sept. 23, 2006, that was 49 day cycle. It lasted for a week also. I guess i was stressing a little becuz school started. That was my last period.

I had sex w/ my bf (protected) and i had vaginal bleeding during sex, then I was spotting from Nov.4-7 (i believe, i forgot to record it). I went to Planned Parenthood and took a preg.test (urine test) on Nov. 8 and came out negative. My breast are sore lately and i felt kind of queasy when i was eating earlier today. Had light headaches lately but i used to always get headaches before. Light cramping on the lower abdomen area.dont know if i can be pregnant, but goin to ppgg to get p.t. again. been using condom everything 4 the last few months.

Ok my 5 yr old loves animals wich is fine but she wants to crawl around on her feet and hands and bark, meow or roar at you constintaly at least 1/2 the day she acts this way on and off I just ignore her at home but she likes to do it at the store and I hate it I ask her if she sees other kids act that way and she says no but she likes to. She has been doing this for about 1 1/2 yrs any advice on how to get her to stop would be great.

I was just wondering everyone's due date and what they are going to be having.

I read on the Internet that sometimes it seems that pregnancies are trendy. Either everyone is having a boy around the same time, or everyone is having a girl around the same time.

Last summer, most of my friends had boys. But, everyone that is supposed to have a baby within the first half of 2007 seem to be having girls.

So, I was just curious.
