Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 November 2006

I started my period the 7th. It was really light with some small clots. anyways it lasted 4 days and all it really was was spotting. Well the first day i started i got a hot flash. Im 21 so i know im not going through menopause. my breasts always get tender before i get my period and go away as soon as i start. There still tender. not really sore, but sensitive. like if something brushes against them my nipples get hard. (sry! tmi) ive been checking my cervix and its been high and hard ever since i got off my period. i checked it tonight and its low and soft. that makes no sense to me at all. also im cramping. i was thinking that i may be pregnant, but i dont have any symptoms except for the sensitive breasts. im not asking if im pregnant, but has anyone ever had an experience similar to this and been pregnant?

What is the youngest anyone has given there baby cereal in their bottle. My baby will be a month on sat. He eats 4 ounces every 2 hours put it doesn't seem like its filling him up. He wakes up 3-4 times in the night. Should I use a little cereal in his bottle at night so that he sleeps better and longer.

I am stunned and amazed at the number of posts from young girls asking if they could be pregnant and how to tell if they are pregnant, when should they take a praganacy test etc, etc, etc. Why are you even having sex if you do not know the mechanics of the whole thing? Have you never read a book, have your mothers never spoken to you, did you not pay attention at school?

40 years ago we had sex education in primary (elementary?) school.

Why now are young women so ignorant of the basics?

Am I being selfish.. I really just want this baby out!! I am 38 weeks and swollen horribly.. my weight has affected my feet makin it almost impossible to walk .. is this normal to be this miserable and what or should I do something to bring on labor??

He is very weak and just of average weight.

The problem is that he does not take any other food apart from mother,s feed.The mothers' feed is not sufficient.

He clenches his lips very tight and refuses to eat any other thing that we try to feed him (cerelac, mashed fruits/vegetable etc.).
So he remains hungry for upto 24 hours and keep crying all the time.

If we force him by persisitng for long, he immediately vomits out whatever he has eaten.

But when he has taken mothers feed, he is hapy for sometime and does not vomit.

What could be wrong? How to rectify the problem?

I just wanted to know from moms out there if you feel you are smarter now that you've had a child. There have been studies done about this, with findings that child-bearing's actually been beneficial to women's memories. Would you say that you are more focused since you've become mothers?

My son came home today in tears. He is a very sensitive boy and not aggressive at all. Adults love him because he is very respectful and endearing. A boy at school calls him, as he says "special needs kid". This really confuses him because he does have a brother that is special needs (Autistic). This kid doesn't let up either. He says this boys says he's different from everyone else. He does tend to get picked on because he doesn't defend himself because he says he doesn't want to be like them. Yet, he gets upset. He had a rough couple of years trying to deal with his ADHD and now he is doing great in school but not so much in the social department. Am I overreacting here because I don't want him to feel that way. It breaks my heart that someone who is so caring and always worried about how he makes people feel and he doesn't get that in return really effects him. My boys is extremely family orientated. His fam means the world to him and his friends to. How can I help him?

ok i have gotten the depo shot 2 times on time but i have had unprotected sex3 times since the last injections which was the begging of oct anyways i think im pregnant i got the symptoms and i been sleepin so much but i hear if u take a test it wont be accurate wat shoule i do how would i know my nurse that gave the injections said i didnt need to take a test and ive gained alil weight plus my daughters going on 4 mnths i have 2 kids i dont need another one wat should i do

I'm due in a week (which I don't think I'll make it to). My problem is I havent picked out a name for my baby. We've called her peanut since before we knew she was a girl. I feel like I am under so much pressure to have a name picked out before I go into labor. But I really don't want to pick a name out untill I get a chance to spend time with her. I have a list to choose from but My husband isn't helping. I want him to be a part of this process but I really feel like I'm not getting any real feedback from him. what way(method) would you suggest to help the process for a child to speak. the child dose understand and has some comprehension. She dose know some words;yes, no, dad/mom, and other repeatetive phrases. she also dose babble(talks nonsense) in a way of detail like she is trying to be descriptive.
