Get your nickname from the things Adam does.
my grandson is Popeye because he slept with one eye half open.
my son is scooter because he scooted across the floor.
good luck. just an idea

Hmm. Adam seems short enough all by itself.

"Ad" doesn't sound like a nickname, so that's out. Do his initials spell anything? What's his middle name?

If you're just looking for something cute to call him, there are lots of things to pick from. Some people call their kids Booger or Cutie.

Adam, in Hebrew, is a generic term for "a man". Maybe you could call him Little Man or something similar. Related names include Admon, Damek, and Edom. Like any of those?

The literal meaning of Adam is "earth". There are names from other languages that mean the same thing, like Kai and Clay.

That's a tough one. You might have to come up with a nickname based on a physical characteristic. Is it intended to be a lifelong nickname or can you choose something babyish?

Last resort, go with calling him "A". Or perhaps A followed by his middle initial?

If you don't want to call your child Adam, then why did you give him that name?

Call him 'maddu' : kind of reversed 'adam', and, 'madhu' is a very sweet name in Sanskrit (India), it means 'honey' and in some context, stands for prosperity and sumptuosness!
