In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the process of creating the embryos outside of the body and placing them in the uterus after 3 or 5 days. Intra-uterine Insemination (IUI) is the process of placing the sperm directly into the uterus bipassing the vaginal cavity.

There can be complications with IVF since there is a large amount of medication involved however it is very minimal. And babies born through IVF are just as healthy as babies conceived naturally.
