I think unique is an over rated quality where names are concerned. Sure, you don't want to be 1 of 10 Kate's or Dylan's in class, but to have people always wonder-
How do I pronounce that name? Is it a boy or girl (especially in grade school when you can't always look and tell right away with shaggy hair and multiple earings)?
Familiar, classic, but not too common is the best route.

I like some of names you picked but remember that when choosing a unique name make sure that is it nothing other kids can make fun of. Here are some other names i think you might like they aren't unique but they are uncommon. Girls: Sophia Rose , Laurelai Victoria, Lillian Marie, Emilie Louise, Celina Elizabeth, Kelsi Lauren.
Boys: Elijah Matthew, Andrew Jacoby, Chase, Noah Wyatt, Jensen Tucker, Tahj( Ta- jij), Timofey Charles.

1 - think of you child's future so please avoid joke names, puns or play on words. it may seem more interesting than a common name like mary but would you want your child being teased and laughed at or even scarred for life because you thought it would be different? choose a name that will grow with you child.
2 - know what you are looking for, are you looking to honor a member of the family or maybe a traditional / religious name
3 - how does it sound like?: think about the name, say it loud. does it have a melody?
i found an awesome free ebook "28.000 baby names and meanings from 43 origins" it's an awesome book

i like Elijah for a boy name. But what about Keshawn, or Aiden. For a girl some very unique names could be Forever, Eternity, Trinity, or Sarina. Those are all pretty cute and unique.

I have a very uncommon name, so I think if u want to (let's suppose), name your future kid a unique name, I would go for a word name. Example: Coral, Faith, Secret, Amber... or maybe add to a common name: example: Katelina (pronounced cat-uh-LI-nah) Emilia, Olivara...

Well, my husband and I were looking for names that maybe reminded us of Vegas since we got married there 2 years ago and it's our fav place. We thought of all kinds of crazy ones ( Newton, Vegas, Elvis...etc. ) and then I came up with Sahara. We stayed at the Sahara Hotel when we got married.......now that we know it's a girl it is one of our choices. Maybe my suggestion will help you come up with a special one of your own. My husband got me a book from the library called, "So you named me what?" It's about celebrities and thier baby names..... maybe that will help. We decided Sahara will be the middle name and here is our other choices:
1. Charlotte (Charley for short)
2. Darla
3. Lila
1. Jayden
2. Brandon
3. Joseph
