I think it depends on the Rh factor. if one of you is Rh negative, then the chances could be that the child might have O negative as a blood type. But if you both are Rh positive, then you will have a child for sure with a blood type of O positive.

I'll have to throw a twist into this.

Not sure how the O part plays out, but I can tell you that an A+ father and an A+ mother can have an A neg. child. I have one!

We always assumed she was A+ but she is now pregnant and when they did blood typing on her she was A negative THREE times.

The doctor told her that if both my husband and I had one negative parent, then we could pass the recessive trait to our child even if we were both positive. My husband's side we know his father was negative. I do not know about my grandparents. My parents are both under the assumption they were/are positive.

We don't know the full background of my side, but obviously there was a negative somewhere because our daughter IS our daughter.

Anything is possible when you start counting in recessive traits.

Yes.

If a person exhibits an O+ blood type, they may (genetically) be O+/O+ (from Mom and Dad) or O+/O-

If two parents are O+/O- :

25% chance of baby being O+/O+
50% chance of baby being O+/O-
25% chance of baby being O-/O-

The first three will show as O+ on blood tests, the last will show as O-

O- is a recessive trait. Two O- parents cannot create an O+ baby, but it IS possible for two O+ parents to create an O- baby.

your question is not clear enough to understand, but if you're refering with two the same sex i'm sure not you always need the opposite sex. What do you mean with negative baby ?
