I never breastfeed any of my kids, but I know people who have and what has worked for them. You can talk to your doctor and they can give you something or you can bind them wear a tight bra 24/7 (except in the shower) however in the shower DON'T get hot water right on them. You can wear bra pads(for nursing mom's) to help from leaking thru, plus use lettuce leafs to help with the pain..I know it sounds odd but that's what I was told from my doctor when my son was born...Just remember to change them when they start to feel warm...Plus you can also use ice packs to help with the pain as well....

If you have taken your baby completely off your breast it should only take a few days. Your breast will fill up again the same as when you first had the baby, but do not express any if you are stopping alltogther as your breasts will keep producing the milk. After a few days they will have their final pours and then no more. But I will say that I have had a few friends tell me that even after a couple of years of not breast feeding their breast can still excrete milk.
Cold cabbage leaves will help with the pain once they swell.

As a breast feeding mom myself, for my second child, the best advice i can give from weening my oldest is to wrap yourself. Use like and ace bandage and bind your breast. Also drink salt water will cause a reduction in production. If neither of these work ask you OBGYN. They are the birth of a child sometimes perscribe something for no-breastfeeding mothers theat helps dry them up. Good luck with that, but make sure you dont let yourself get breast feever. Which is common when weening. mommyblues78

They will stop leaking eventually. As long as you don't try to express any milk then no more milk will be produced.Since your breasts produce it on demand. The more demand for milk , the more milk the breasts will produce. Just buy some breast pads and wait it out.

I leaked for 4 months after my son was born... I started to use ACE bandages to bind my breasts, then wore a sportsbra one size too small. I did this 24 hrs a day for a month, before I finally dried up.

The other person is right...lettuce leaves or cabbage leaves. And there is nothing wrong with bottle feeding so stop pestering the girl just because she wants to bottlefeed. Also try Ice Packs. That helps the pain, and they will dry up in a week or so using the lettuce or cabbage leaves. Good luck....I remember that pain well! To me that was worse than labor!

Why aren't you breastfeeding? It's so much healthier for your baby! But if you really want to dry your milk up, wear sports bras or other tight-fitting bras that will pull your breasts tight to your chest. You will even have to sleep in them. Your breasts will become very sore and engorged from the milk filling up in them, but after a few days and no nipple stimulation, your supply should steadily decrease. Good luck!

Try binding your breasts. This will cause the milk ducts to compress so that they cannot fill up again.

There are pills that can stop it, but it will stop naturally all by itself when your body recognizes that your are not breastfeeding. Approximately a week or two.
