Last time I was pregnant I took a HPT the day before I was scheduled to start my period and it was positive. I had a miscarriage 2 weeks later. We have been trying again for 2 months now, and my period is a day late but the test is negative.

I know some ladies on here say they didn't get a positive test until they were 2, 3 or 4 months pregnant. So to all those ladies, I was wondering if all your pregnancies were like that or if each pregnancy was different?

I would like to know from women who breastfed and women who didn't. Did your breastfed child have less colds or ear infections in the first year than the non-breastfed child? Or for the non-breastfed child where they just as healthy the first year as the breastfed child? I ask because I know people who breastfed and people who didn't and their kids appear to be equally healthy. But I am not with them all the time so I don't know if they are equally healthy. I know there are benefits to breastfeeding, I breastfed my daughter and she had about 2 colds (one when she was 7 mos. and the other at 1 year old) but no ear infections or other illnesses but I know kids who had several colds, ear infections and pneumonia the first year. But does that have to do with not breastfeeding/breastfeeding or environment. I hope I explained this clearly. Thanks for any insight.

My son is 6, almost 7 and he has developmental delays. He was never classified as autistic or having PDD, all we were ever told was he has a speech delay. My husband, inlaws, myself and his teacher and speech therapist are concerned with his inability to pay attention. He daydreams and "plays" video games in class (moves his hands and fingers like he's holding a controller). The teacher hasn't said it but I think she's thinking ADD or something similar. I've talked to friends with kids similar ages and they all say their kids do the same thing so I know part of it is just my son being a normal 6 year old. The problem he faces is when he drifts he risks getting lost and not being able to grasp what the rest of the class is working on. How can I teach him to stay focused on the task at hand and how to bring himself back when he does drift? Are there games we can play with him? He does watch too much tv, and I know I need to do something about that.

I asked a similar question earlier, but I went about it all wrong. I'm 7 weeks and can feel some stretching in my uterus. Is this possible? I've been feeling it on and off for almost 2 days now. It's not painful, just weird. It's definitely NOT gas. Should I be concerned?

Does anyone know the difference between the feeling of a baby moving or gas? I felt something yesterday and it felt weird like little waves in my stomach, but I'm not sure what the feeling is.

I went grocery shopping. Got everything everybody needed. Nothing was good for him. Made a nice dinner. "Ick!" Would not eat it. Meatloaf and homemade dressing. He had a fit that I forgot to feed the dogs. I was too busy...i forgot. Still doesn't believe me. The first time i forgot to feed the dogs in years!
What's up with him and what should i do or say to him. He's still living at home and unemployed. He's waiting for a reply from a company that he applied to a week ago.
Come on you psychologists out there. Help me!
He usually never complains like THIS though.

I know this sounds like a joke, but it's not. My two year old daughter insists on eating dirt and sand every time we go outside to play. She absolutely shovels it in! I have another child, and every time my back is turned or my attention is shifted for even just a moment, my two year old has a mouth full of dirt! I have tried everything I can think of to get her to stop and it's not working. This has been going on for several months now.

I would like only gentle ideas- no spanking, yelling, etc. She's only two. Thank you so much.

Okay he is 4.5 years old...
Hes very overweight, can not talk very well (his speech is not understandable), he grunts and whines a lot. I make him ask for things if he wants them, put his own shoes on (but I do tie them). I feel he is capable of doing small tasks without my assistance.

I guess at 4.5 and not having a child who is slow makes it harder for me to understand. How much should I expect him to do on his own? It takes him like 5 minutes to figure out his shoes. When you ask him if he wants something he will dance for 10 minutes before realizing I want him to say if he wants it or not.

I'm waiting on my missed period. I still have in till Sunday Nov 12 for my period to be due. I have been feeling a bit ill. I feel nausea, headaches & a lot of heartburn from time to time. I occationally feel dizzy. I just had some food and i feel like throwing up and i've been feeling like that for a few days now. I had food this morning and felt the same way. Is been happening just about everytime i eat now. I don't actually throw up but the feeling is there. I don't want to get my hopes up because i've been TTC for two months. I'm just wondering are this normal feelings before you find out your prego?

I know the signs are of those of PMS are the same as some prego signs so i'm not trying to go by those symptoms. But i can't understand why i feel like throwing up after i eat and why i keep getting heartburn and Heachache from time to time.
