I had to have my sons hair cut when he was 4 months. It was just getting way too long. He did fine, he cried of course, but my husband held him in his lap while it was being done and it was fine.

It just depends, like is the hair in your baby's eyes or is it just all over the place? I just had my 12 month old daughters hair cut for the first time. my other two were 18 months or so.... they didn't have as much hair. Since I've had my baby's hair cut, she's not pulling it quite as much. She's adorable..... Whenever you think it's time for a new do, then please do. It's all up to you. Good luck.

Whenever you feel the need to cut his/her hair! :-) It's your baby!
My (now) 8 year old had so much hair that he HAD to have his first haircut at 8 months old, It was growing down into his eyes, And just looked awful..
My (now) 18 month old, Was born with very little hair, And hasn't gotten his first haircut yet (Alright, alright, he could probably use one, It's not in his eyes yet, but the back is getting kind of long, I just can't bring myself to cut it yet...I'm enjoying him having hair) Lol..
It's all up to you!!!!
Best of luck!

When their hair is long enough that you feel they need to have it cut. My kids were between 1.5 and 2.5 years the first time they had haircuts.

it depends on different factors. if it's a boy, cut it when it starts to look bad. if it's a girl, you can cut bangs when it gets in her eyes if you like. my daughter is 2, and i haven't cut her hair at all, but i always put a barett or a ponytail in her hair to keep it out of her face.

Whatever age he learns to sit still. So, it depends on the baby.

The more you cut it the thicker it will grow in. Don't forget to save a lock!
