Last time I was pregnant I took a HPT the day before I was scheduled to start my period and it was positive. I had a miscarriage 2 weeks later. We have been trying again for 2 months now, and my period is a day late but the test is negative.

I know some ladies on here say they didn't get a positive test until they were 2, 3 or 4 months pregnant. So to all those ladies, I was wondering if all your pregnancies were like that or if each pregnancy was different?

After four miscarriages, I was very anxious when I took a pregnancy test and saw a very faint blue line. I waited a couple days and took another test and still faint so I decided to go to the urgent care clinic at my hospital and they did a beta hcg test. It was proof positive that I was pregnant. You could be like me and barely produce the hcg horomone in the beginning. I would wait a couple of days and retest. If you still haven't gotten aunt flow yet and you are testing negative, go have a blood test. Good luck on getting pregnant! Once you do, you will be so happy.

My first pregnancy was cut and dry...the test was positive and there was no way to misinterpret it. But with my second child, I ended up taking a second one because I still had not started my monthly cycle and on it I almost missed the line because it was so faint. It depends on how quickly your body produces the pregnancy hormone!
