ok first off, I am NOT advocating giving kids alcohol. But some parents say that giving their teens a drink at home makes them not as drawn to it outside the home, like at parties. It is legal to give your own child alcohol by the way-just not anyone elses. In some cultures, wine with a meal is given to even younger children. And in those families, it has been said that drinking problems are far less common.

I was just curious what people's opinions or experiences were with this issue. My kids are not old enough yet but I want to be prepared. thanks!

I'm a little worried,my doctor told me not to be.I keep losing them around 9-11 weeks.I just had my tue removed 3 mths ago.What can be wrong?ut so far so good ut I'm only aout 5 weeks.My doctor said he has ran every test in the book on me and they come back fine.Please help!!!!!!!!

I AM 21 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH MY 3RD CHILD AND HAVE JUST CAME HOME FROM HOSPITAL AFTER A UTI MY 2ND PREGNANCY WAS THE SAME. THIS TIME I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THREE TYPES OF ANTIBIOTICS TO TREAT THEM AND NOTHING IS WORKING AT THE MOMENT I AM TAKING A COURSE OF CO-AMOXICLAV. i AM SO WORRIED ABOUT TAKING ALL THIS AND WHAT EFFECT IT HAS ON MY BABY AND FEEL NO BETTER AFTER COMING OUT OF HOSPITAL AFTER GETTING IV ANTIBIOTICS I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF SOMEONE HAS WENT THROUGH THE SAME AND IF THERE WAS AN ANTI BIOTIC THAT CLEARED THE UTI UP QUICKLY AS I AM A FULL TIME WORKING MUM WHO IS TOTALLY DRAINED AND AM FEELING DREADFUL PLEASE ANSWER IF YOU CAN HELP ME....THANKS MARGARET

My son is 7 years old and his friends have cell phones for emergency purposes, like a tracking system for parents. I am a 24 single mom and work two jobs, is it a good idea to get him one since we are apart more than a fulltime mom.

I have a project due tomorrow that I kept procrastinating and not doing. Now it is due and I have a lot to do. Any suggestions on getting it done. I have to construct a Euler Line, Euler Segment, and Nagel Point, write steps how to do them, and write a biography on each Euler and Nagel. Any suggestions on how to get it done? hi i'm 20 years old and i have a 10 month old baby. I Recently had a miscariage at 3 months that i did not expect so i had a d&c done.
And just a couple weeks ago my doctor found that I had a cyst on my left ovary which did disapear a week ago.for the past 2 months I've had my periods both which are at the end of the month. In the begining of this month I have had sex.but my husband pulls out all the time and i am aware that you CAN get pregnant that way. Just The Other day I went to the bathroom and i was spotting. It only lasted 20 mins and it hasnt come back.
So my question is...Was I spotting beacause my body hasn't healed,,or because i am ovulating now..OR because I may be pregnant. I'm Just confused. I hope you guys can help. Thank you

Since Aug 2006 i have been having unprotected sex with my hubby. I just finished my period Oct 4th and it was 3 weeks late, my period was pretty normal other than it being late. ever since i finished my period i started getting nausea and headaches. I got nauseated everyday, even drinking water made me nauseated to the point that i wanted to throw up but i didnt. my breast feel very tender and sometime i would feel a little tingling in them. also, i did buy an ovulation kit and it shows two lines but the test line is lighter than the other, does that mean im about to ovulate? i know you cant have a LH surge while being pregnant right? thanks for your help

I saw a question on here where a girl asked something about her son and got the whole "you should be married before having children," "marriage comes before children," etc. I have only been with one man in my life and oh my God, we're not married. There are people that have waited for marriage that have been with more men than I have. What makes them so superior? They've been married then divorced, then remarried. A piece of paper doesn't really make a difference. Seriously, It's not like it was 50 years ago. My mom and dad HAD to get married because my mom was pregnant because my grandparents were ashamed. Is that reason any better than having a child? I don't think so. Does anyone agree? If not, Why not?

I had a cold a couple of weeks ago that went away except for the sinus issues. For the past two days I have had all of the common symptoms of a sinus infection. My head hurts, my face hurts, behind and under my eyes hurts, my teeth hurt, my jaw hurts, I feel extreme pressure in my sinuses, the drainage out of my nose is nonstop and a nasty color...
I am 32 weeks pregnant, and contacted my OB who told me to check with my PCP... I have called 3 times since early this morning and am yet to get a call back. Honestly I don't even want to go to the doctor... is it even necessary for me to take antibiotics for a sinus infection? or will it go away on it's own? Is there anything I can do to get rid of some of this pressure and speed things along? I hate to take any medicine while I am pregnant that is not 100 % necessary..

I am 19 years old (well, I will be in a little less than a month) and I am in my freshman year at college. I am about 7 weeks pregnant. So far, I am managing to hide it from everyon except for a few close friends and my boyfriend. I am unsure however, that I want to carry the baby to term and give birth. I have at least 5 years left of college and am currently not financially stable. My boyfriend also has 5 years of schooling left. My parents have stated before that they do not approve of being pregnant before marraige, and we're not sure what his parents would say. His older brother (23) just had a baby boy, and his mother supported it, but he never went to college. My parents are very disapproving of me having sex and I'm not sure if it is safe to even tell them. I wanted to know if people thought I should keep the baby, give birth and then do adoption(I'm not due til june and my parents would know) or if I should save money and get an abortion.

I know this seems harsh. I have a 16 year old step son with the maturity of a 12 year old. He still can't keep his room tidy, has no regard for hygene, starts the school year off blazing and sinks to failure my mid term. He has no close friends, his dad's new family can't stand him because he is lazy and argumentative. He expects everthing to be given to him yet he refuses to do chores. Since he is physically a mess, he is the subject of scorn at school.

I keep waiting for him to have an epiphany and recognize that his behavior is really not working for him and this just does not seem to be coming. My wife and I keep telling ourselves that the world needs janitors too but he can't even do that well.

So any ideas? I do not want to give up on him but I need to be convinced that pulling himself up by his bootstraps and accepting responsibility for his behavior is not the best approach.

This kid is very smart but he will not conform to anything that is successful. Yikes and help!

Hi everyone.
I just found out im pregnant about 20 minutes ago. How wonderful is this? I'm in Aus and its 5 30am. I have been sick all day and for the past few days.
My last period was about the 23rd sept and ended on he 27th. I have been feeling sick all day and ive been in bed the entire day yesterday now i can't sleep. It got the better of me.
My fience and I have been trying for months now. I'm so happy. I'll tell him in a few days when he gets back from work (he had to go out of town this time) so that i can tell him in person, not over the phone so i can see his face and his reaction :)

Does anyone know when i might be due or how far along i am?

I need some other mother's opinion. I have a 2 year old son that grows like a bad weed!! His birthday is coming up soon and my family asked what they should get him. I told them he needs clothing because really what kid doesn't need clothing. The only thing I told them though was to get it second hand because I know if you look hard enough you can find some really nice second hand clothing and what you spend on one shirt now you can buy alot more if you go the second hand way. I love my son alot but with the way he grows it makes more sense to me to buy them second hand instead of going out and spend alot of money on clothes that aren't going to fit him for more then a couple of months. Don't get me wrong I do buy him new clothes but not as often as some parents do. Any ways my family looked at me weird because I told them to buy him second hand stuff. Was it wrong of me to ask them to?
