Do not eat:

-lunch meats that have not been heated to steaming
-unpasteurized soft cheeses, juices, or honey
-raw eggs, meat or fish
-alcohol of any kind
-more than 3 cups of coffee (or the caffeine equivalent) per day
-anything that aggrivates your nausea (if you have any yet)
-fermented beverages (like kombucha)
-fruits or vegetables that have not been either washed thoroughly or cooked
-non-food products such as dirt or ashes (some people with a specific pregnancy-related condition, called pica, crave these things)
-More than 6 oz. of fish per week (due to the mercury content, smaller fish are safer than larger)

Other than that, most anything is safe. Ask your doctor if you have questions. Try to keep up your fiber intake through whole grain products and fruits and vegetables and keep up your iron intake with green leafy vegetables and red meat.

Happy pregnancy!

Peanuts!!! Last trimester for sure... possibly the whole pregnancy. My mom works at a hospital and said this.

You can eat seafood.

Sweetie, I suggest getting "What To Expect When You Are Expecting." It's a wonderful book and answers soo many questions. I got it as soon as I got pregnant.

It will really help.

Good luck. Im sure you will have a very healthy and happy baby!

Seafoods that are high in mercury.

Also my doc told me to becareful eating too many grapes and watermelon (my cravings were fruit) as those two fruits are very high in sugars and will cause weight gain even tho its supposed to be healthy. Just everything in moderation.

Oh you should eat lots of fiber so that your prenatal vitamins dont bind you up.

Good Luck!
