It means that the baby's head has now engaged and you are in labour. Every woman is different in how long the labour lasts, but having the show means you should get yourself to the Hospital if you are having contractions with it right now!!

Well, your answer made sense to me. As others have said, the 'show' is actually the mucous plug that blocks the entrance to the cervix and womb during pregnancy, it acts as a barrier to keep infection out. As the cervix starts to efface (thin out) and dilate the plug dislodges and comes out. It is a sign that things are starting to happen but the rest is completely individual I'm afraid. If it's your first baby, it could be a few days yet but subsequent babies tend to come quicker. With my third baby, I had a show about 6pm, contractions started around 10pm and he was born at 6am. So be prepared but don't hold your breath. Wait for further signs such as waters breaking or contractions (you'll know them when they come, trust me :) And good luck.

OK, well if you mean "the show" as in a bloody show, or your mucous plug (which looks like a big nasty booger), then it can still be a while before you give birth.
While pregnant, I only lost my mucous plug once before I went into labor, and two weeks before I went into labor at that.
If you are not talking about a bloody show.....then I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and disregard my answer.

Having a show,is the bodies way of letting you know that it's getting ready to deliver.it could be the day you go into labour or you may not go into labour for 2-3 weeks.

By the show, i take it you are referring to your water breaking.......
All women are different, so it would be silly of me to give you a time limit.
Just enjoy your birth (the best you can) and the show and everything else will be forgotten once you have that lovely baby in your arms.

having the show does not mean you are in labour. I had a little show several weeks before I went into labour it just means the mucous plug has come loose is not defo a sign of labour, though it can happen before going into labour. Speak to your midwife.

This question does make since.. you can have the baby up to like 2 weeks after.. maybe a LITTLE bit longer.. but very soon there after.. cause that is what protects the baby from disease.. :-)

Bloody "show" is the same as your mucus plug, don't hold your breath, it could be a while yet. Good luck to you, and yes your question made sense, don't listen to anyone who was rude.
