I need to buy a humidifier for my baby's room because she is getting many colds lately and is coughing a lot. Her Dr. recommended to get a humidifier in her room while she sleeps.
Which one is the best for the price?

I liked the Vick's warm air humidifier. I used it for my daughter.

Is a humidifier the same as a vaporizer? If it is, I recommend a vicks cool mist vaporizer. Also they make REALLY cute decorative ones now that I saw at Target in the pharmacy section that are animal shapes.

Wal Mart sells the Ultrasonic Humidifier (cool mist that doesn't get everything wet) for about $30-$40. They work like a charm and I have had more than one doctor recommend them. If ever my kids are sick I plug it in and they get better so much faster. It works for me too.

I have read in my what to expect the toddler years book, that warm mist ones work good for certain things and cool mist work good for other things, I got my kids a cool mist one that looks like a frog at target, for 20 or 25 bucks. Its really cute And we have a warm mist one that was only about 10 bucks at walmart its the vicks one.

I got a Vicks one at Target for like $50-60 -- you can put the charcoal filter in it to prevent that white dusty crud from getting all over the walls/furniture.......

Any cool mist vaporizer is fine. Stay away from warm ones - they can cause burns if the baby goes near them.
