Pregnancy & Parenting - 9 October 2006

I'm 6 days late...my period is usually every 26-31 days but today is day 37 and there is still no period. Me and my bf had sex 4 times last month...using a condom and pulling out every time. There was no tearing or splitting that we could see. I am getting the usual cramps...but I have absolutely NO PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. There is no nausea, sore breasts, frequent urination, dizziness, etc. Nothing. Just cramps that feel like I'm about to start.

I have a lot of vaginal mucous though....I always get it before I start. Plus, I am very stressed about all of this. Can worrying if you are pregnant cause my period to be late? What is the latest that it has ever caused you guys?

Should I wait another week before I get a test done?

I have taken like 5 pregnancy test and keep getting a negative result, but I still feel very pregnant, sore breast, a little nausea not much, food aversions, fever, and I am burping a lot (don't know if that is one or not but it seems much more lately) and heartburn. I am not eating any different, nothing really has changed. I would like to be pregnant but I just don't know if this is normal. My last period was sept18-22 but, it was very light and abnormal for me, could it just be stress?

The baby is due Feb 2, 2007. How close to delivery date is usual to have a baby shower? We don't want to have it too close to Xmas due to the hetic schedules and expense of the holidays.......What do you think?

I'm 19 I don't work and I'm pregnant going to an exspensive college. I have 2.5 years to be done with my BA . I'm pregnant and my family wants me to abort it but I can't. I prefer to have it and give the baby away than to kill . I'm almost 5 weeks 3 days I'm soo scared. I feel like a bad person because I don't want to abort and I never believe it that. The guy said is all up to me and I do really want to have it but I'm scared all the presure I will be getting from family would make me abort and then later on in life go crazy or they might put to much presure on me that miscarrae might occer. I prayed to God to let me have this kid. Please I'm lost what should I do?

I have a 4 1/2 year old with a man I was with for 5 years. we broke up in early 2005. we have been going thru a custody battle for the past 3 months now. i have full custody, she lives with me full time, and she hadn't seen her dad for over a year cause I had a pfa on him (he threatened me several times during the coarse of the breakup, a few in front of her, physically). He broke the pfa several times, and just this past summer I went to court over our daughter. I let him have her 2 hours a day on the weekends, my sister the supervisor. This was a trial run, for a month, and then we had a hearing last week to see if it would be wise for him to have her weekends, and he NEVER showed up!! His mom called and asked where she was over the weekend, and I told her he missed his hearing, and she said he "forgot" the time.

So, what to do? my daughter really could care less whether she sees him (don't talk bad about him to her), and he is bi polar.

Started my son on soy at 1 month because of fussiness & bad gas (peds felt it was not a true milk allergy) and I didn't want to have to give him gas drops with every feeding. Now he is 8.5 months and nearing time for regular milk and I would like to try switching him back to regular. Has anyone else done this and how did you go about it?

My son has had diarhea for the last 3 days and the first night he had a fever of 102.9 and then it went away but everytime he goes to the bathroom it is diarhea and he is usually very active but after getting up at 8:30 he is sleeping again I am taking him to the doctors but I just wanted to see if anybody hads any ideas to what this could be,

she told me everything....she told him to have sex with her. She 's not really the most decent person, but she is my friend. She only wants to marry him so they can have more sex. I don't think they are going to get married though, thats what she said. But she only likes this guy because of the things he does to her. She has sex when her parents aren't around, and she said I should try it. I tell her no! My girlfriend is 6 days late. She is usually very regular with her period...she gets one every 26-31 days. However, today is day 37 and there is still no period.

We used condoms EVERY time. There was no slippage or tearing. I even pulled out before I orgasmed...EVERY TIME. She has all the usual cramps...but no pregnancy symptoms like nausea, headaches, dizziness, sore breasts, etc. She keeps getting a lot of mucous every time she goes to check for her period...though this is quite normal for her...she gets a lot right before every period.

Me and her are very stressed about all this. We are both only 18. Are there any women on here that have very regular periods but have been late because of worrying if they were pregnant? Could this be why she is so late?

i was just wondering is there a point where you are too dilated and not going into labor on your own that a dr will just send you into the hospital and start you on pitocin or break your water? i am about 5cm dilated and feeling cramps but no contractions....my sister in law was recently in the same boat and her dr went ahead and sent her to deliver....i wasnt sure if this was common practice or if every dr is different. i am 39 weeks and sure would love to leave the office today to go have my son. so is there a point they just start you if you get too far dilated without starting labor or will they just keep letting you dilate until the baby's head is hanging out??

Im 19 and i have been babysitting for this family for 5 years and i have always been given $20 a night to stay over night and she would get home when i was leaving 4 school she had 4 kids.....but now since then her bf now lives with her and he has1 and since he has been living there she has had 2 more kids so thats now 7 seven kids the ages are:just turned 10 months, almost 2 this month, 5,7,11,13,15 lately when i baysit i might watch them for 3 hours and get nothing one day i watched them from 12:30 in the afternoon till 8:30 that night i got $25....I would really like some thoughts on what people think i should be getting cause im so ready to stop watching these kids and watch other kids more often!!!!! Please Help?

she is just under 3 years old the last time we went out in the car she was travel sick that was 6 months ago and she wont go near the car since everywhere we go now has to be by train or bus this is not just her being naughty by not getting in the car it is real fear when she sees the car she starts to shake sobs then screams it is really heart breaking i have evan tried to make it fun we asked her to help clean inside the car strangers stopped in the street cause they thought we were trying to kidnap her or worse its not just our car we have tried other family cars the problem is now we are off to spain shortly and when we get there she will need to travel by car to get to the villa its got so bad we may have to cancel the holiday has anyone got any ideas please

I am very regular, always 29 days. I was supposed to satrt on the 4th, and did, kind of. I had very light spotting on Tuesday the 3rd, and it continued through the 4th and the 5th. On Friday though, it started very heavy. Staurday was the same, but what was weird was no cramps, until yesterday. They were so bad that I was crying my eyes out and couldn't move. I'm still bleeding, but not as much. Today's the 6th day of "bleeding", or not. Should I count Wednesday since I was spotting, or Friday when I really started bleeding. Or could I have been pregnant and had a miscarriage, since the cramps were SOOOOOOO bad.

FYI: I'm 22, married, and me and my husband have been TTC for 5 months

I'm 17 and I'm really into this guy in my 1st period psyche class and he doesn't know it. How do I get him to know without making a fool of myself? Am I even cool enough for him? I seen him turn down alot of girls and I dunno if I could handle the rejection.
