I am very regular, always 29 days. I was supposed to satrt on the 4th, and did, kind of. I had very light spotting on Tuesday the 3rd, and it continued through the 4th and the 5th. On Friday though, it started very heavy. Staurday was the same, but what was weird was no cramps, until yesterday. They were so bad that I was crying my eyes out and couldn't move. I'm still bleeding, but not as much. Today's the 6th day of "bleeding", or not. Should I count Wednesday since I was spotting, or Friday when I really started bleeding. Or could I have been pregnant and had a miscarriage, since the cramps were SOOOOOOO bad.

FYI: I'm 22, married, and me and my husband have been TTC for 5 months

John gave you a little misinformation. The first day of your cycle does not count when you're spotting. It's the first day of actual bleeding. So, Friday would be the 1st day of your cycle. You will find that a woman's period is never umm normal (what is normal..lol)? I know mine aren't! I always have 28 day cycles like clockwork when I take Metformin to regulate. I am currently taking this medication and my periods having been coming 22 - 23 days. And the last 2 were very very light. I am not a doctor but I honestly don't believe that you had a miscarriage. As for the cramps, with my last 2 I had no cramps (or so mild they didnt bother me) but with this one I am cramping bad. I guess aunt flo is making up for lost time! You should expect your next period 11/4 so ovulation should occur 10/19 - 10/21 so your fertile week should be 10/17 - 10/22. Good Luck, hope it all works out for you and for all TTC'ers. It is possible that you could have been pregnant, but I agree with Tammybaby. It probably was just a funky period and since you are TTC, you are more aware of your body and any pains/bleeding you may have in that area. My sister and call the female reproductive tract the Bermuda Triangle because sometimes, somethings are just a mystery! Sometimes you just don't know whats going on down there! I would just stay aware during your next cycle and if it happens again go to the Dr. Good luck!

I'm no expert but I do know that often women who are having difficulty conceiving are actually conceiving nearly every month but then haveing very early miscarriages that aremistaken for periods. I don't believe that you would have much cramping with that early of a miscarriage. I think it bears mentioning to your ob/gyn if any questions of fertility arise. Your young and everything is on your side from your youth to your regular periods and a loving husband so don't worry. Good luck.

The very best advise I can give you young lady is go to a doctor, can't afford one? to go to health clinic. You could have and underlining problem you know nothing about. Yes you could have been pregnant, you however always count the first day of blood no matter how little.

The only thing you can do is take a pregnancy test to rule that in/out. Either result you should go to the doctor.
